Chapter 34 - FaceTime

Maddie POV:
I answered the FaceTime from Elena. I wasn't still shaken up about what just happened. Colton helped be get through it and I honestly felt fine after, but Elena calling made it so much better. When the screen finally loaded I saw her smiling face. I could see the seat behind her so she must be in the car.

"Hey baby" she exclaimed.

I smiled "Hey to you..."

"Are you okay? You seem a bit off?"

"I'm fine, we uh just got ambushed but everyone is okay." I responded ready for her freak out.

"OH MY GOD MADDIE!" she yelled through the phone so loud I had to turn the volume down. "Are you okay, are you hurt—"

I cut her off. "Lena I just said I'm fine."

"It's this about the mole? Did you catch them?" She was the only person I told.

"Ya we did, it was one of my fathers advisers."

"I'm so sorry Mads." She looked sad for a second, but I could see a smile hiding under.

"What are you so happy about." I asked.

"I have a surprise for you." That's when she got out of the car and I noticed it.

"Is that our shrub?" I asked confused. Next thing I knew she was smiling and the doorbell rang. I ran downstairs, which was already cleaned by our men and opened the door.

Elena stared at me. "Surprise!" I ran into her arm and jumped on her, she spun me around. I hadn't seen her in person in months.

"God I've missed you." She told me before kissing me.

We pulled apart. "I've missed you too." I got off of her. "What are you doing here?"

She smiled. "My father sent us to live here until I'm 19." Us? I was about to ask when the car that she drove up in honked and the window rolled down to reveal Mateo and Max. "We just moved in down the road."

I squealed. "Does this mean you are going to my high school?" She nodded. I was so lucky. "Do you want to meet Knox?"

I walked her up stairs and we passed by Alex on our way up. "Hey Mads, hey Elena." He said walking until he realized Elena was here. "Elena?" Elena waved and he came up and hugged her. "Nice to see you again," he looked like he was going to say more until he got a text. "Uh that's dad, I got to go, nice seeing you Elena." He said before walking off.

We walked into Knox's room, Knox was lying in bed asleep. "Awwww he's so cute." Elena said making a cute high pitched voice. I was walking around his crib when I tripped on one of the legs.

I was about to hit the floor when Elena caught me. "Thanks babe" but Knox woke up and started crying. I reached in and held him in my arms. Bouncing him a bit when I noticed Elena staring at me. "What?"

She smiled "Nothing, it's just. You're really good with kids."

I chuckled. "You want to hold him?" I asked her. She nodded and put her arms out. Once Knox was in her arms, Elena started making cute funny faces at Knox, who started laughing. "Now look who's good with kids."

After a bit we put Knox back in his crib to sleep and we went to watch a movie in the movie room. We both agreed on Momma Mia.

I sat down on the couch and before she could sit next to me I pulled her on my lap. We both chuckled a bit as Elena snuggled comfortably on top of me. About halfway through the movie she fell asleep on top of me. Once I noticed, I smiled and kissed are forehead "Sweet Dreams" I whispered softly to her. I played with her hair, stroking it, twisting it, until I fell asleep.

Elena POV:
I woke up in the morning on a not so comfortable mattress, I fluttered my eyes open to realize it wasn't a mattress at all. It was the love of my life. I smiled knowing we slept together. I didn't move, I just looked at her beautiful, adorable sleeping face and studied it. Taking in everything as if I was going to forget in a instant, but I wasn't. I would never forget her face. God I love her so much. She then began to scrunch her nose, and flutter her eyes open. "Morning Beautiful." I told her.

She smiled and bit her lip. "Morning." She wrapped her arms around me, and pulled me close into a hug, and leaned forward to kiss me. I kissed back and smiled. After us just lying there for ten minutes. She finally said something. "What time is it."

I grabbed my phone and saw 16 missed texts and 8 missed calls. "Oops" I showed her the missed calls and text alerts and we laughed. "But to answer your question, it's 10:34."

"Mmmm guess that means we have to get up now." I replied. I nodded and my phone rang again.

Maddie slide the bar to answer it, knowing it was my brothers.

Mateo: Elena! Finally! god what does it take for you to answer your phone. I've been calling you since last night!

Elena: Well good morning to you too bro

Maddie: that's my fault Teo, I had her occupied.

Max: oh god please tell me that doesn't mean what I think it means.

Elena: Ew Max! Don't have such a dirty mind and speaking of mind, mind your own business.

Mateo: enough! Elena are you planning on coming home any time soon, we need to unpack.

Elena: ya I'll be home in half an hour.

Mateo: okay, bye Lena

Elena: bye

Maddie: byyyyeeeeee

"Uh god, why are my brothers like that." I asked sarcastically.

"Don't worry, mine are the same way." Mads responded.

"I should get going before Teo has a stroke" we both chuckled. Maddie walked me to the car, "bye babe!"

She kissed me, and then we separated, leaving her to say "Bye. Love you. Call me tonight." I nodded and took off.
