"Hey baby" she horrible cat called, I cringed "You never called me back" she walked up to him and ran a finger down his arm
"Who the hell are you?" He growled; it sent a shiver down my body. He sounded so angry
"Do you remember me? I'm Cassidy"
"Look, if we've had a night together it meant nothing. It was only going to happen one time and by the looks of it" he looked her over "I was really drunk; you look like a virgin" I couldn't help but burst out laughing
"Honey, told you honey. You're a virgin" I called out "Besides, you can't flirt to save your life" I said as she walked by, it looked like she had tears in her eyes. He friends were just laughing at her
"And you could do better?" His strong voice was driving me nuts. I shook my head
"Watch and learn" I tell the girl
'Was I really going to do this? Welp too late to back out' I walk over to him. I drug my finger down his chest, I kissed his neck. I kept kissing up to his ear, I grabbed his ear lobe with my teeth and pulled it slightly
"I'm the best there is" I whisper, I had a hold on his shirt. I could hear his breath going fast, I giggled a little. I kissed his lips lightly then let go of his shirt
"Shadow your up" I heard someone yell
"See you around" I kissed is lips lightly one last time before walking over to my car. I drop my sunglasses a bit and made eye contact with the blonde girl "That's how you do it"
I climbed into my car after pushing my glasses up and pulled out of the spot heading for the start line. I watched as Asher clenched his jaw, he was different in this world. I watched as Ryders's passenger car door opened and I say Hadley walk out. 'She knew about this shit too?'
I forced myself to look ahead of me. The girl dropped the bandanna and I hit the gas. 'This night was not how I thought it was going to go'

I had gone home changed into my work clothes to make it seem like I had just got off work. It was about three am and I was going to go pick up Hazel. I drove over and parked on the side of the road, I got out and headed for the front door. The living room light was on. I knocked on the door and Mrs. Daniel opened the door letting me in
"She's asleep in the couch" she whispered
"Thank you again" I grabbed out the money handing it to her
"No problem dear"
I walked over to Hazel picking her up carefully. I grabbed her bag and head for the front door, I stopped in my tracks when I saw who was walking in. It was Asher, Ryder, and Hadley. They also stopped
"Told you" I heard Hadley whisper
"Excuse me" I say, they moved, and I walked out
"Not a goodnight, or even a hello?" It was Hadley, but I just kept walking until I got to my car. I buckled Hazel in and went to get in. I was stopped by Hadley
"What?" I growl
"Look, I'm sorry for getting into your personal business"
"Whatever" I got in and went to close my door when Hadley stopped me
"The boys may be oblivious to it, but anyone smart can tell she's his kid" I look up at her this time, then back to Hazel "You came back to tell him about her"
"Yeah, you caught me" I lean on my seat before getting out and closing the door leaning on it "It didn't take you long, you're a lot smarter than you look" I comment
"Thanks?" She says confused
"Look, I shouldn't have come back. But I am stuck here" I rub my face with my hands "And I guess so far, you are the only one I can trust, so I might as well tell you"
"Tell me what?"
"I don't work night shifts. I'm actually street racing, I'm the Shadow"
"I know, I figured that out when you kissed Asher tonight"
"Of course, you're figured it out. Have you thought about being a lawyer?" I ask with a small laugh
"So, I've been told. We friend again?"
"Yeah" I grabbed her and hug her tight. She hugs me back with just as much force "I better get home" I tell her
"Yeah, well night" she waved and started walking towards her house
"Hey tomorrow, Hazel and I are going to have a girl's day. Want to join?"
"That would be great" I smile and get into my car and drive home
'Not the way this was meant to happen, but at least I have someone on my side'
