"He knows?" Hadley whisper yelled as we sat at a bench in the park
"Yeah. We made out! I do not know what I was doing" I held my head in my hands "I do not know what to do, what if he wants to take her from me? He has the money to do so" she grabbed my hands and looked me in the eye
"He's not going to take her from you, they would break her heart" we both look over at Hazel as she plays with another kid
"He wasn't to be in her life, but what do I tell her?" I sigh looking back at Hadley "I told her that her dad didn't want anything to do with her and he left us" I hold back tears
"You told her that?" Hadley said shocked
"I didn't think I'd ever see him again" I lay my head on the table and close my eyes
"Mamma!" My head shot up and I see Hazel standing behind me
"Hey what's wrong?" I ask picking her up
"When are we going to see Ashy again? You said we'd go see him today?" I look at Hadley then back to my angel
"Ummu" I held my breath when my phone started going off and I saw who was calling "Hey he's calling. Want to answer?" I hand her the phone and she answer it
"Hey Ashy" she called into the phone "I'm at the park with mamma" I could her mumbling on the other side of the phone and then I watched Hazels face light up "Yes you can" she was giggling like a mad woman "Mamma Ashy wants to talk to you" she handed me the phone
"Thanks sweetie, you go and play" I helped her off the table and started at Hadley as I put the phone to my ear "Hello?"
"Hey Lesy"
"Don't" I growl
"Why not? You used to love when I called you that" I could feel him smirking "If I remember you used to be turned on by it" he was right. It did and still does
"What do you want?" I said changing the subject
"I want to take you on a date"
"No"
"Come on Lesy" I sucked in a breath and looked at Hadley she was giving me a curious look. I stuck him in hold
"He wants to take me on a date. What do I say?"
"Yes. Say yes"
"What? Why?"
"Find out what he really wants" I sigh before nodding. I take him off hold
"Fine I'll go in a date with you"
"I'll pick you up at eight tonight. Dress casual" I said ok, and we hung up
"What'd I agree to? He said to dress casual"
"When's the date?"
"Tonight, and he said he'd pick me up at eight"
"Well, it's four now, that means we have four hours left and I need to dress you up"
"It's a casual date" I pointed, and she waved it off
I called Hazel over and she was giggling. She told me Asher asked her promotion to take me on a date, simply great. He is already winning her heart. Do not get me wrong I still love him, but he needs to win my heart again. We've both changed a lot over the years, like I am a street racer with a kid, and he is a gang leader. He said he would never take over his father's gang, he did not want any part of it in high school. Then again people change their minds and life changes people. Time changes people, just like it did to me.
So, we arrived at my house and Hadley was running around my closet trying to find something for me to wear and when she did, she started to do light make up. Just mascara and lip-gloss, I was wearing a dark blue hoodie and ripped skinny jeans with a pair of white tennis shoes. My hair was in light curls
"Do I look ok?" I asked turning around in front of a giggling Hadley and Hazel. I was modeling my outfit for them
"Yes, you go girl" holler Hadley
"You go girl" I stopped and started laughing at Hazel, she had tried to copy Hadley
"You are too cute" I picked her up and started spinning her around
"I know" I laughed. I set her down when I heard a knock on the front door
We all walked downstairs, and I opened the door to reveal Asher. He had on dark black skinny jeans and a black t-shirt. He had on black vans to matched. He smirked while. Checking me out
"Ready?" He asked
"Yep"
"You hurt her" Hazel appeared at our feet "I cut you" she pointed
"Hazel" I scolded "That was rude"
"Hadley told me to say it" she shrugged before saying bye and running up the stairs
"Hadley!" I call
"Sorry" I could hear laughing and I sighed before walking out the door with Asher
What does he have in-store for me night? Was the only thing going through my head as we drove away from my house?
