Tessa Winters
"Ok, ok. I'm ok" I pace as I wait five long minutes
"Tessa stop pacing and relax" Sierra tried to calm me down my grabbing my arm and making me face her
"What if I am pregnant? I don't know if I can do this again, I don't know if I'll be able to care for another child and be in the run" beeping was heard from my phone and I froze turning the timer off
"Do you want me to look for you?"
"Please?" I ask sitting on the bed as she picked up the stick "What does it say?" I question as she looks
"Tessa..." I look up in fear "Your pregnant" I stay still "Tessa? Say something"
"No" I shook my head "That can't be right" I grip my hair "It can't be right!" I reach forwards and grab the stick from her, I look at the lines and tears fall
"Mamma why are you crying?"
"Nothing baby, nothing" I hug her and force a smile "nothing at all"
"When are we going to go see Aunt Hadley and Ashy" she smiled looking up
"I don't know baby" I kiss her the top of her head and hear a knock on the hotel door
"I'll get it" Sierra says moving towards the door. I am still on the floor with Hazel and the stick is on the bed facing up "Hello" I hear her say, but I do not turn around
"Is Tessa Winters here?" I tense up
"Who?" Sierra asked dumbly, I had changed Hazel and I last names, but she still knew our names from before we changed them
"Hazel" I knew what Hadley was doing "It's aunt Hadley" Hazel sprang up
"Aunt Hadley!" She screamed running past me and Sierra into Hadley's arms "I missed you. Mamma and I were just talking about you. Is Ashy with you?"
"No Ashy isn't with me" she walked into the room
"I'll leave you to talk" Sierra said and I could hear the door close behind her. I had yet to move
"Tes? Look I am sorry about what happened with Asher. Why couldn't you have said goodbye in person" I could feel her staring at me
"How'd you find me?" I finally got up and looked at her
"It wasn't easy. It took me a month of sneaking behind Asher and Ryders backs, but I found you" she sadly smiled and looked down towards the bed
"Well, I guess I need to hide better" I watched her facial expression change and I looked down at where she was looking. I realize what she was looking at and I quickly pick up the stick and shove it in my coat pocket
"A-are you pregnant?" She looked at me shocked. I do not say anything just turn away "Tessa?"
"Yeah I am. So what?"
"Please tell me it's Asher" she looked skeptical
"He's the only one I've slept with" I snapped and glared at her
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to assume anything"
"Why are you here?"
"I came to warn you and to let you know that Asher isn't looking for you, he's letting you leave. He's given up" she looked pained, and it honestly broke my heart to hear he doesn't care
"What did you come to warn me about?" I step forwards taking Hazel from Hadley's arms
"The government" she looked away before looking at me
"What about the government?"
"They are cracking down on the gangs, such as finding people who are somehow involved. Such as you and Hazel, that want to find you to use as leverage. It has been happening all over the United States. They sent us a threat that if we didn't take down the gang and turn ourselves in or they will use whatever they need to capture us and put us down"
"What! You have to be kidding me" I was growing angry "It seems no matter how hard I try gangs always seem to come into my life"
"I'm sorry Tessa"
Before anything else could be said the door was blown down and glass was heard breaking. I cover Hazel as Hadley started shoving us towards the bathroom. There was shouting and red lights being pointed all around the room before ending on us
