Tessa Winters
I have been here for hours, both Hadley and me. It was a blank room, no pictures, no wallpaper. It is just a table and three chairs; Hadley and I were already sitting in the two on one side of the table. The other chair on the opposite side of the table was empty
"I was too late" Hadley shook her head
"We're going to be ok. LET ME SEE MY DAMN DAUGHTER" I screamed at the camera in the very corner of the room
"We've tried this already. They're not go-" she was cut off by a lock being unlocked and the door opening slowly
"We've heard you. I've got the boss to let me give you a tablet that is connected to the camera in Hazels room" he placed the tablet on the table before taking a seat
Quickly I grabbed it and look at the screen, Hadley looked over and we both smiled to see her playing with some cars and a racetrack. I wanted to cry, but I held it together and looked at the man in a suit in front of me
"Why are we here?" I snap staring right into the guy's eyes
"Well, I would hope you know why you're here, as Miss. Daniels tried to warn you" he crossed his arms and sat back
"I am not involved in gangs at all. This is just a girl I met in my old hometown a few months ago" I placed my hands on the table "I want to go home" I yelled standing up
"Miss Winters please have a seat. We know that Hazel is Mr. Blacks child" he stood up with an angry voice. I sat down and wrapped my arms around my stomach, Hadley noticed
"Why do you want us?" Hadley was playing dumb, she knew why. She was trying to crack him
"We want to take down the gangs of course and you two are the key to taking down the top gang in the US" he did not have a single emotion on his face
"How do we relate to the top gang?" I asked weary, we were not related to the top gang, Asher does not run a gang that big just a small one in our hometown "Asher doesn't run a big gang, it's only a small one and they don't do much" I defend
"Tessa" Hadley grabbed arm keeping me from standing up again "Don't" she shook her head. She looked guilty
"You don't know" he let out a dark chuckle
"Know what?"
"Mr. Black runs the biggest gang in the US. Interesting that you didn't know that about your lover" he nodded towards the camera "well I'll be back, have a fun talk you two" he stood up and walked out of the room
"Asher is the gang leader of the biggest gang in the world!" I snapped standing up and pace the room "How did he get to the top? Oh god" I froze out a hand over my mouth
"When he was handed the title of gang leader to his father's gang, he built it up. In the end he earned the title of the biggest gang in the US and meanest gang leader. Him and my brother worked hard to get to where they are, it's not the greatest life Tessa, but we live off it"
"Your right Hadley it's not the greatest life" I pause and look at the tablet. Hazel was now looking at a picture book "But it's how you survive, it's how we are going to get out of here, how we are going to survive" I had a determined look on my face and Hadley had a smirk
