Last night while everyone was asleep, I packed both a bag for Hazel and me, I was planning on leaving while everyone was out of the house. I had put the bags in my car that Asher brought over from my house. Speaking of Asher, he has not been home in two days since our little fight, Ryder said this was normal for him when he needed to let of stress or steam. If he stayed away for a few more days that would be great. The next morning Ryder left to go deal with business or whatever and Hadley left for work leaving just me and Hazel. Our time to leave
"Hey baby we're going on a little adventure" I loved some of her hair out of her face
"Where are we going?" She asked excitedly jumping up and down
"We're going to go everywhere and anywhere we want" she had a big smile on her face "Let us go" I grabbed her small hand
"Is A shy and Aunt Hadley coming?" She asked as I buckled her in
"No honey, just us. It's going to be our little secret" I kissed her head and got into the driver's seat
I looked at the house one more time before backing out of the drive and down the long road and towards the highway. I made sure to check my car for a tracker and I did find one, he did not trust me. Honestly, he was right not to, but I was smart. I left it in the driveway along with my phone so they could not use that to track me, they were not going to fine us unless I want to be found
"Oh, turn the song up, please" Hazel shouted and I laughed turning up 'all the good girls go to hell' by Billie Eilish
"Good song huh?" We start singing the lyrics as I drive down the highway to god knows where
Occasionally, I would check my mirror out of habit, I really hope I got away. We could disappear again; we have done it before. New last names, number, I need to trade this car in. New everything. I was not going to let him find me

I pull into my parking spot in the drive and get out confused, Tessa's car was gone. It was odd, where would she have gone? As I look around, I see a black box on the ground and A phone. I pick them up. It was one of our trackers and Tessa's phone. What the hell? I ran into the house quickly
"Tessa? Hazel!" I scream I run throughout the house
When I get to the kitchen, I see a piece of paper on the counter and pick it up slowly. I open it and start to read the letters
Hello everyone,
I wish I did not have to do this, but it need to be done to keep not only my daughter, but myself safe. If more people find out that Asher has a kid, they are going to come after her. They may even come after me. I do not want my kid in this life, I do not want to be in this life.
So, I left, I am. It sorry. I am protecting my child and myself. Call me selfish, but I do not care. Do not come looking for us, you will not find me unless I want to be found

Tears stream down my face. I understand she does not want to be in this life, but she could have said goodbye in person. I put the letter back and left the house, I climb in my car and drive away from the house. I do not know how Asher is going to react with this information, but it is not going to be pretty. I pray to god and anyone who will listen to keep them girls safe, she is right. Hazel should not grow up in this life, hell I wish I did not. We cannot choose our family's though
