Mermaids and Sailors

"Captain! I think we found something!"

In the summer of 1735, the old sail ship known simply as Wendy, was sailing through the Caribbean. It was in search of pearl oysters, attempting to make a decent living.

However, it bumped into something much, much more rare. It quite literally, almost sailed into a mermaid. She said her name was Seraphena.

This new discovery put the morality of the crew to the test. Would they "capture" this mermaid and bring her back to civilisation for a hefty fee from the authorities or some cracked up freak-showman?

Or would they let her go unscathed, with nothing in hand but the knowledge that such beautiful creatures, as mermaids exist?

It would be somewhat left up the decision of the captain of the ship, Captain Quentin Walters. A young man who inherited the ship from his mentor, decent enough to never doing anything illegal, but hungry enough to turn in one of his closest friends for piracy in exchange for a sack of gold. 

However, things get complicated when he falls for Seraphena. 

A classic tale between sailor and mermaid will leave you full of wonder and excitement.
