I drank a sip of my hot chocolate as I was sitting on the sofa. Ty was beside me, sitting as well as he was drinking his hot chocolate and watching an Italian show.

Tomorrow the school was going to be starting. I didn't need to go to school anymore, however, I did needed to check on some files based on criminal records of Marc.

I looked at Ty and noticed him so focused on the show. I didn't understand anything in the show but he seamed to be so drawn to it.

I sighed.

Sometimes, it did felt lonely to feel the difference between us. I just couldn't enjoy the same thing like Ty in everything.

However, the show just reminded me of something. The talk between Marc and Ty. It was in Italian as well.

I needed to know how Ty got involved with Marc.

I looked at Ty and held his sleeve and tugged it a bit, "Ty?"

Ty didn't look at me. His eyes were focused in the TV but he used his arms to wrap it around my waist and pulled me closer. "I am listening, Jess."

"Ty, um . . ." I sighed as I leaned in his arm. I didn't wanted to ask him about this in a suspicious way which would make him think that I was suspecting him.

I watched Ty taking the remote and turning off the TV. He looked at me and smiled. "What's wrong?" He asked.

I pulled away from Ty and looked at him. "Would it be okay if you tell me about you and Marc?" I asked slowly, looking down my hand where I was holding a cup of hot chocolate.

"Hm . . ." he ran his fingers in his hair and sighed. "It's not like I mind talking about it," he said, leaning on the end of the sofa. "It is just that I hate remembering all the things that I regret doing for Marc."

I looked at Ty. "You can tell me, Ty. I won't judge you," I said softly as Ty looked at me. "We all have pasts. But what matter is our present and future. We shouldn't let our past affecting our future."

Ty sighed and nodded. He took a  sip of his hot chocolate and placed it back on the table. "It was my first day in high school," he began.

I folded my leg and sat comfortably at the other end of the sofa.

"I meet Marc in my computer class," he began. "Actually, inwas very different in high school. Unlike right now, I was very a shy student-"

"Really?" I asked as he pouted.

"It was in the past," he sighed as I nodded. "So, yeah. Marc was the cool kid in school. Always confident, cool and popular. So anyway, I dont know when but we got a project together in computer class and we hang out after that. As time went by, we began to become friends."

I nodded.

"So, often time, Marc would hand me some packaged box to give it to certain students in the school and I used to do it.  And since we were very close friends, I never asked him about it. I even . . . Told him about you as well, Jess."

I looked at Ty and noticed how sad he looked.

"Marc knew that I love you so much and then as we went to grade 11, I got invited in one of Marc's home party where usually all the students who March made me deliver packages were there. I did went to the party, but then, I saw something that I shouldn't have seen. I saw drugs there. People were exchanging drugs at Marc's party. I wanted to report this to police and when I tried to do that, I was made unconscious and  got kidnapped by some men."

Ty was kidnapped?

I was shocked.

"When I became conscious, I was locked in a room, chained. Turned out that the people who chained me was the people who worked for the drug dealers. Those people took me to their boss's who I was surprised to see as Marc," Ty said. "I couldn't believe the guy who I was friend with would actually be a leader of a gang. I wa shocked. However, I was even more shocked when I found out that those packages which I was delivering was actually drugs and furthermore, Marc wanted me to be killed. Marc didn't wanted to leave an evidence about his drugs and the evidence was me."
