I was really starting to get worried about my feelings towards Emily. I don't fall in love with people, people fall in love with ME. At least everyone seems to be in love with me except the only person I'm in love with.
No, not in love. I can not be in love with Emily Fields.

But come on, Paige? Of all the people she could take there, she would take Paige? I knew there was something going on between them but I didn't think it would last this long nor did I want it to. So I decided to do some flirting, it was harmless because I DID NOT HAVE FEELINGS FOR EMILY. That's all I had to keep telling myself. However, as soon as I touched her smooth skin I felt myself go weak. It was like superman and kryptonite. I slowly massaged her shoulders and I smiled to myself as I felt her go weak and relax. She seemed a bit uptight around me lately, but I figured it was because she felt bad for kissing me while talking to Paige. I wondered sometimes if she ever felt the same way about me but deep down I knew I was bad for her.

"Ali?"

Ali, gosh, I loved it when she called me that.

"Yes, em?" I replied ignoring the thumping in my chest.
"You can stop you know." She giggled and her smile made my heart feel happy.
"Oh, did you want me to?" I teased her, narrowing my eyes a little. She rolled her eyes but smiled back at me.
"Well, sure yeah." She said awkwardly. Just then, her phone buzzed and I craned my neck trying to see who it was from.
"It's from Paige. She wants to hang out." Emily informed me typing her thumbs quickly in reply.
"And...?" I asked casually trying not to seem interested.
"I told her we're by the pool if she wants to come. I haven't hung out with her in while and I miss her." She replied smiling to herself.

I miss her.

"Okay, but she can't keep you too long. You're coming over tonight and you're staying the night." I smirked trying to not seem jealous. I hoped it was working.
Emily laughed her contagious laugh and replied with an "okay mom".
I had to laugh despite my current mood, thanks to Paige.
"So aren't you and Paige like up and down all the time" I inspected my fingernails trying to look busy.
"That's not really your business. I like her and she likes me and we're willing to work it out." Emily snapped at me but then winced, "I'm sorry, it's just a touchy subject. We're kind of going to a rough patch right now and she wants to talk about it."
"It's okay em, I understand." I lied easily but I really wanted her to curl up in my arms and tell me her secrets and just want me.

"Hey love." Paige walked up to Emily and sat next to her, giving her a kiss on the cheek. I thought I saw Emily grimace but it could've just been my imagination. Emily smiled at her and soon they were deep in conversation and I was left to my thoughts. I decided to take a nap so I wouldn't get too jealous.

I woke up to Emily's laugh, "bye Paige. I'll talk to you later."
"Goodbye." Paige stood up with Emily and hugged her. Then, to my utter disgust, Paige kissed Emily and left.

Control yourself, Alison, control. You can do this. You like boys, that kiss didn't affect you at all.
