It's Time

Bakugou was having a hard time containing his smirk. The hero duo exams took place this afternoon and still no one had figured out that Izuku and he were the second duo. It was hilarious. Which is why, as much as he wanted to scream and tell all of the extras that the Wonder Duo would be the best (they already were the best), he kept silent. Well, silent except for the occasional declarations that everyone should shut up because what did it matter that some extras were going to be competing in an exam. He couldn't be suspicious.

It didn't help that every time he told someone to shut up Izuku would silently giggle behind him. Bakugou could feel how excited Izuku felt and how hilarious he thought the whole thing was. His giggling did make it harder not to smile though. But he didn't smile. Because that would give it away too soon and all of their planning would go down the drain.

Bakugou couldn't help but slightly shiver at the sight of Izuku's notebook. He was writing in it, like always, but Bakugou knew that this time, Izuku was perfecting multiple ways to take down any number of different hero or hero combinations. He'd read all the drafts of those plans. He couldn't imagine them getting any better, but he knew Izuku could always make them better.

Sometimes he worried for the safety of the world.

Either way, Bakugou couldn't be more excited. Izuku couldn't be more excited. And he knew Shinsou and Kaminari couldn't be more excited. Even if they were still a bit traumatized from Izuku threatening them to keep silent.

Aizawa stared at his problem children. He hadn't realized just how good of actors the two were. Considering none of his students even remotely guessed at the fact that they were the second duo. They didn't seem to feel the excited, but dangerous aura that came off the two.

No, instead they were teasing Bakugou like normal, talking to Midoriya like normal. They surrounded Shinsou and Kaminari, everyone excited for their exam. But no one picked up on the glances exchanged between the Wonder Duo. No one paid attention to the notebook on Midoriya's desk. Aizawa had peeked at it... well, he peeked at it a week ago and decided that he was very glad he wasn't one of the heroes participating in the examinations. He didn't even want to know how far Midoriya's plans had come along since then.

Shinsou was anxious. Kaminari was happily chatting away with the rest of class 1-A, who were all very excited for their exam. But Shinsou wasn't used to the attention of this many people. He didn't like it. He didn't want it. His lack of want for attention was why he wanted to be an underground hero. So imagine his surprise when Kami wanted to go underground as well. Wanted to go underground as his hero partner.

It was still strange to Shinsou, that Kaminari would really go underground. But upon hearing the blond's reasoning, he couldn't help but feel as though that was the right choice for him. His quirk was amazing, he could be a limelight hero, but the underground heroes saved the forgotten ones. And like Shinsou, Kaminari wanted to save the forgotten ones. It was one of the reasons Shinsou liked Kami so much. Not that he would say that in front of everyone.

Midoriya glanced at the clock every 4 minutes and 55 seconds (he still wasn't sure how he was this exact, but he was). He watched the time count down. He kept track of the furtive glances Mr. Aizawa sent his way and the way Shinsou kept glancing around the room and tapping his fingers on his leg. They were all nervous. Not that Bakugou and Midoriya would show it, they couldn't, not for their plan to work. But they were nervous.

And then it was time.

Sorry I'm late guys (totally didn't get distracted with a different fic). I have two more chapters planned (at the least, three at the most) and I'm hoping to get at least one of them done tomorrow :D BTW, I can't wait for the Wonder Duo fight, because I've got plans

Also, Touch, the ghost deku fic is getting ready to publish and I'm hoping to have it out by the end of this week! (Won't be finished, but should have a good start on chapters)

BTW, I'm setting the Escape from Writer's Block parts into a short story book since they're technically not a part of this story.
