"No bring it left... your other left," Ciera instructed in a dry tone as she sat on the stool from underneath the countertop.

"Ya' know, you could help," I said bitterly. "Considering this is both of our apartments." My lease ended June first so Ciera and I decided to get a two bed/two bath apartment together in the same building. It was July and we've been living together for a month. It's been going well.

Sometimes she'd bring her tinder hook up over and will text me, "Wear some headphones tonight, I'm gonna rock this mf world." And other times I'd bring home my own one night stand and text her,

Hoe

Don't wear headphones
tonight, you're gonna want
to hear the sounds this mf
will make when my huge
dick goes in

Not bigger than my dick🥱

I chuckled and continued the joke.

That checks out

It was good having Ciera there; we got along well and respected each other's boundaries. But she definitely got on my nerves sometimes. Like when I was hanging up the tapestry she made me buy for our living room and instead of holding up one end for me, she sat there like the lazy ass she was while eating food.

"I am helping," she insisted as she dug into a Chipotle burrito, making a mess. "I'm teaching you your left from right," she explained, covering her mouth as she talked with her mouth full.

I rolled my eyes and pinned up the fabric. The tapestry was gay. Literally. It was the bisexual colors apparently, with mixtures of blues, and purples, and magenta but in the form of a woodsy forest. Ciera insisted that we must have it because we were both bisexual. It was actually kind of cool, but I wouldn't tell her that.

"There," I said when I got the large tapestry hanging securely across the wall behind the couch. I stepped off the furniture, walked up to Ciera and took a bite of her food.

"Hey!" She scolded me and I jumped out of the way before she could hit me. I sat down on the couch and pulled out my phone and did something I told myself I wouldn't do today. I opened up Instagram, searched the name I unfollowed months ago and clicked on his profile.

Sam posted another picture of him and Ben shirtless on the beach from when they were in Punta Cana. The caption read; Miss this >>>>

Ben commented: wouldn't want to be there with anyone else❤️

And my ex responded with the same heart emoji.

I scoffed and tossed my phone on the coffee table. "Stop looking at his page. It only gets you worked up," Ciera knew me too well already.

"I just don't get it. He could do better than Boring Ben, mother fucker's like five foot, ten. Barely," I said bitterly.

"Who cares?" Ciera questioned. "You're only hurting yourself by looking at those photos. You think Sam's looking at your profile while sunbathing on the beach?"

"He wouldn't be able to, I blocked him," I muttered, but I knew Ciera had a point and it pissed me off to think Sam wasn't thinking about me. I stood up, "I'm going over to Ryan's."
