Chapter 39

   You woke up to the sound of raichi yelling.

   "WHAT?! THE SECOND SELECTION DOESN'T START RIGHT AWAY?!" Raichi shouted at the tv screen.

   You pulled the covers over your head as you said to yourself, "shut up.."

   Then you heard ego speak, "oh shut up. In the time it takes for the second selection to begin i'll have you people undergo physical training."

    You realized this was something you should be listening to and you jumped up and got out of bed.

    Ego continued to speak, "during this period, you won't be able to use a ball for absolutely anything. If you violate this or if you cant keep up with the training, you'll be expelled."

   "FUCK YOU!" Raichi gave Ego the middle finger, "WHY DO WE HAVE TO BOTHER WAITING FOR THE RESULTS FROM THE OTHER STRATA?!"

   Everyone in the room seemed annoyed, including ego. You could feel his annoyance through the screen.

   "Dont feel cocky just because you passed by the skin of your teeth in the fifth stratum," ego furrowed his eyebrows, "you're training until i tell you to stop, you trash!"

   "In the higher level strata, for example... the first strata! Instead of doing the first selection, they've been training with the latest equipment! Rejoice, you bottom of the barrel trash! I'm giving you precious time to train and catch up!" Ego spoke.

   After that pep talk, team Z started a difficult training routine.

   Although you felt tired by dinner time, others looked worse.

   "You good?" You asked igaguri, who was lying on the ground like he had gotten ran over.

   "Im... fine..." he wheezed, out of breath.

   "We should go get dinner," you spoke, "then you can rest."

   After helping the boy up, you proceeded to walk with him to the dining hall where you enjoyed eating dinner with the rest of the team.

   After 10 days of tough physical work, the cycle finally broke.

   'Ding dong dan dong.' Is the sound that came from the television, "as of right now, the first selection of blue lock has finished on all strata!"

   "All participants who have passed, please put on your 'Blue Lock' uniform and head to the center of the basement in your strata!" The tv spoke.

   Everyone sighed in relief, seeing that the training was over. As such, you all put on your uniforms and began walking to the basement.

   "LETS GO YOU GUYS! THOSE HIGH RANKING BASTARDS CAN GO EAT SHIT!! LETS WIN!! LETS DESTROY THEM ALL!!" Raichi yelled.

   You smiled, "For real."

   Once you all arrived in the basement, you noticed other teams arrived as well.

   Does that mean nagi's here? You asked yourself, well duh, he passed as well. You mentally facepalmed.

   Long story short, ego talked more about how shitty the fifth stratum is.
