Persephone releases her command of nature as the group quickly remembers that they are in a race. Hades snaps out of his lovestruck trance, grabbing their black flag and pulling Wednesday to her feet. Persephone joins them as they all run back to their boat.

"Hurry up, we have to go!" Enid yells as the other team members shout out words of encouragement. Once Wednesday is situated in the boat, Hades and Persephone push them out into the water. The pair follow the race from the shoreline as they walk next to the water. They smirk as they watch Xavier's team flail about in their sinking boat while Wednesday's team glides past them.

"Just us and the sirens now." Persephone points out. Suddenly, the dark boat has sharp spikes protruding from its side as they edge closer to Bianca's team. "Did you install spikes?"

"Yes I did." Hades replies proudly, chest puffed out. Persephone smiles up at him before turning her attention back to the race. Wednesday's boat has begun to move by itself, being forced away from Bianca's boat. "That damn siren must be back." From their spot in the trees, the two panic as their ideas have run out.

Unexpectedly, a thought comes to Persephone. If she can control plants on land, she might be able to control plants that are underwater. Her earlier realisation of how powerful she could be if she stopped creating the pretty flowers everyone expected her to make sits heavy in her mind. Now is the time to test her theory. "I have an idea."

Persephone inches as close as she can to the lake's edge before dipping her hand into the water. Closing her eyes, she allows herself to become connected to the nature around her. Time seems to slow as she feels every ripple of water, every sway of the waves, every form of plant life. She focuses on the forests of kelp that grow in the lake. She envisions a tentacle of kelp growing upwards and wrapping around the siren's tail. Her hand grows numb in the cold water, yet nothing bothers her as she becomes one with the ecosystem around her. She can sense that her powers are working, though it is strange for her to not be able to see what she is doing.

Hades voice snapped her back into reality, "It worked." His hands rest softly on her shoulders. Opening her eyes, it is clear that Wednesday's boat is back on track thanks to the combined efforts of Persephone and Thing (who packed a killer punch). They draw level with Bianca's boat, spikes still menacingly extended. With one final push, Bianca's boat is skewered on the metal spears. Water floods in as Bianca jerks back to avoid being impaled, shock evident on her face.

"They did it!" Persephone exhales as their boat is the last one still afloat. The group rows to the finish line as Persephone runs her fingers through her hair at the revelation. They beat Bianca. They actually beat her. "Oh my god! They did it!" She jumps up and down excitedly before throwing herself into Hades' arms. He brings her into a tight embrace, her feet lifting off the ground as he twirls her around. Their elated cheers echo around the trees, who are the only witnesses to their joyous celebration. Hades swore the flowers seemed to perk up and the sun itself seemed to smile down on the pair. He basked in the radiant light and the heaven he felt with the girl in his arms.
