I watched as they argued. LaMelo threw his hands up and walked away in frustration, signaling to Ashley that it was the end of the conversation.
It was our senior prom and while all the other couples and friends danced on the floor, I sat alone in the corner.
Once the current song was over, the DJ grabbed the mic.
"Alright, this one's gonna be a slow dance. So everyone clear the floor for the lovebirds." He said softly.
As he clicked a few buttons, I searched the room only to find him staring back at me as 'Could've been' by H.E.R feat. Bryson Tiller blasted through the speakers.

I walked out of the gym locker room. I had just finished playing basketball and had to shower and get to my next class before the bell.
I grabbed my bag, running down the hall and waving to anyone who said hi. I sprinted down the long hall of lockers until I bumped into what seemed like a brick wall.
"My fault...oh hey Royalty! You good?"
It was Gelo.
"Damn, almost took me out with yo buff ass." I laughed as he helped me up.
"My fault My fault. Oh shit I was just looking for you actually."
