It's January 17th and we got back home to Boston last night, we were all pretty tired so we went straight to bed and we just woke up. "It's good to sleep in..." Chris says wrapping his arms around me from behind "It is" "How are you feeling momma?" He asks kissing my neck "Eh..." Morning sickness finally hit...unfortunately! "Let me handle breakfast, go on the couch with the kids" "Thank you" I say turning in his arms and kissing his lips "No problem!"
I sit on the couch with Tommy on my lap and watch as Grace makes him laugh, instantly lifting my mood. After breakfast we are going to pick up Dodger form Lisa's and we are gonna tell her we're pregnant. "Here you go...this for my Gracie girl" he says handing her a bowl with cut up waffle and fruit "this for mommy" he says handing me a plate with the same things "and this for my little guy" He picks him up and sits him on his lap and starts to feed him little bites of waffles. After having breakfast himself we get ready and drive to Lisa's. Once we arrive and Lisa opens the door for us Dodger launches himself on Chris, making him fall down "Hi bubba!" Chris says to dodger attempting to get the dog off of him He stops after a few seconds and calmly approaches the kids and then me. We greet Lisa with long hugs and sit down in the kitchen as she cooks. We catch up a bit, chris telling her how fun and sad filming this movie was and Grace tells her all she's done on set, including several pranks with the help of Jeremy, Tom Holland and Sebastian.
"We got something to show you..."I tell her as I bounce Tommy on my leg after the exquisite lunch she made for us "What is it?" She asks looking up at us "Why don't you unzip Tommy's sweater" Chris says and watches as Lisa does so, eventually unzipping Grace's too. Her eyes go wide once she reads what Tommy's t-shirt says then looking at Grace's. His says 'promoted to big brother', while hers 'big sister x 2' "Oh my god! For real?" "Yes!" Chris says "Oh!" She exclaims before pulling me in a warm hug "how far along are you?" She asks not breaking the embrace "Just 9 weeks" She pulls away from me and we wipe away each other tears. Chris settles the kids in the living room before coming back to us and hugging his mom and me "Ma you're the only one that knows, we're gonna wait till the 12 week mark to tell everyone else" "Of course baby" Lisa says smiling up at her son "How do you feel? The both of you..." "Very excited, it was wanted so we know it's crazy cause we're gonna have two kids under two and a six years old but we're very happy" Chris says "Exactly what he said, but I'm nauseous all the time..." "Oh darling, now too?" "Eh a bit..." "Do you want to lay down?" "It's fine here, thanks" "Of course sweetheart" she says caressing my cheek making me smile, it's in these moments that I'm the most grateful to have her as my mother in law, she treats me just like she treats Carly and Shanna and that makes me beyond happy. "There's one more thing ma..." "What now?" She says laughing "It's twins..." I say "Oh dear!" Chris and I watch her as she stares at us not quite understanding if her reaction is positive... "Ohohohoh that's so exciting!!!" She says after a couple of seconds hugging us again "The doctor was like...do twins run in your family? And we both said no and asked why and he goes well your expecting twins congrats!" Chris says making Lisa laugh "Actually your great grandfather had a twin..." she says to her son "Oh..." "It's settled, it's your fault..." I tell him laughing
After getting comfy on the couch we watched a movie with the kids and right before leaving Lisa told me the family wanted to celebrate my 34th birthday, that was 2 days ago, on Sunday and that she'll make sure to handle my drinks. We stayed until 5 and then we got home, bathed the kids, showered ourselves and had a nice quiet dinner.
