Zerk: Pretty good, thank you. Sorry, I fell asleep while talking to you last night

Zerk: It was quite nice falling asleep like that
Minty: I'm very glad
Zerk: Also, I'm a bit scared
Minty: Why's that?
Zerk: I'm picking up my prescription from the pharmacy today. They changed my medication
Minty: Why does that scare you?
Zerk: Because the medication I was on worked so well, but it's stopped working now where I've been on it so long, they want to try something new and I'm scared it won't work
Minty: You're scared you'll feel how you did before you were medicated?
Zerk: Yeah, exactly
Minty: What medication were you on? What are they changing it to?
Zerk: I was on citalopram, they're putting me on quetiapine now
Minty: That's an antipsychotic. That's quite different from what you were taking before
Minty: Have they changed your diagnosis?
Zerk: Yeah, they used to think I had major depressive disorder, I have bipolar type 2, though apparently
Minty: In that case, I think you don't have to worry, it'll help with the depression still, but also with the mania
Zerk: Yeah, they did say that. It's just that when I started on citalopram it made me feel worse before I got better, I'm scared this will do the same
Minty: If you need me, I'm here, okay? 🤍
