INAYAT POV: -

I exit the bathroom after changing from my heavy gown to my comfortable Pj's. I swear if I could I'll just wear pj's the whole day. I move towards the shelf where I have kept my books, and I decide to read deviant king by Rina Kent.

I was obsessing over Ronan Astor when someone knocked at my door. I look at clock which shows 12:30AM who might be here at this time?

Setting my book aside, I open the door to find Veer standing there, still in his suit. Despite the late hour, he looks as handsome and dashing as ever. "What happened?" I ask, slightly taken aback. "Can I come inside?" he asks. After a moment's hesitation, I step aside to let him in.

He takes my hand and guides me to sit on the couch beside him. As I start to ask what he's doing, he cuts me off with a gentle "shh...just sit here." He then lifts my foot and places it on his lap. Wide-eyed, I try to pull my foot back, but he holds it firmly. "Veer, you can't touch my feet..." I protest weakly, but he doesn't respond or let go of my foot.

Resigned, I sigh as he pulls out a pouch from his coat pocket. He opens it and retrieves a pair of anklets. To my surprise, he begins to fasten them around my ankles.
