Bringing the drama this chapter, sorry in advance xxx

You guys should know by now I love hurting my main characters .... It's for the PLOT!!!! (Rest assured I plan on keeping my promise for a happy ending...and by that I mean at least no one dies ! 🤭)

The moment we walk back into the lobby, everyone is already there, dressed up waiting to head out for drinks.

Kirsty takes one look at me and Harry, walking in smiling hand in hand, and runs over to me, a knowing look in her eyes.

She looks at Harry, then back over to me, and back to Harry, who nods his head, a huge grin spreading over his face. I have no idea what they're communicating about, but if I had to guess it would be something to do with him asking me to be his girlfriend.

"Oh my god!" She shrieks, attracting the attention of most of our friends. "You guys are finally fucking official?!"

He laughs, and so do I, nodding to confirm her suspicions. "We are," I smile, leaning into Harry's shoulder, feeling a happiness that seemed to top any other feeling.

"Congrats guys!" Ethan shouts out, hearing the interaction go down.

Everyone else starts pouring in their congratulations, with Tobi jogging over to give both of us a joint hug.

"I'm so happy for you guys! I hope it was the most romantic thing ever," he adds on, with his contagious smile that left both our faces aching.

"It was. It was in this park, called Park Matildè and there were sunflowers, Tobi! My favourite flowers ever, and then I started crying and -"

"I'm sorry, did I hear that you started crying?" Kon interjects, and everything makes sense now. That's why Harry 'owed' him a tenner. The fuckers made a bet!

"You two are absolute pricks! Making bets on my emotional state," I sarcastically accuse, shaking my head.

"Okay, but I was right, and now I'm owed a tenner. That'll buy me a drink tonight," he grins, rounding up the rest of the group. "We ready?" He calls out, everyone murmuring agreements.

Tonight was now officially a night to celebrate. Until it wasn't.

We made our way to the same bar we'd visited on other nights, and it was a safe bet. We'd had a good time on the first night, despite everyone being exhausted, and the alcoholic portions in these drinks were insane, so it hadn't even taken long. Tobi had been the only one to remain sober.

Harry ordered me my first drink, a cocktail I was yet to try, but this holiday was all about trying new things. As he bought it over to our table, it was a dark red colour, with a selection of fruit on the top, a little umbrella poking out of the orange.

"Well this looks like it's going to end in disaster," I comment, taking a sip through the straw. I wince as I taste the alcohol, and it genuinely tastes like nail polish remover. "Fucking tastes like it too," I add on, earning some laughs from others on the table.

"Let's have a try," Kirsty asks, and I gladly pass it over, watching to see how she finds it. She has a similar reaction to my own, which comforts me a little because I know I'm not being over dramatic.

"Is it actually that bad?" Harry asks, and I now pass it over to him, having a sip of his cocktail, which I believed to be a blue lagoon, a drink I knew I liked.

He drank it, having no reaction. "I can barely even taste the alcohol," he comments, shaking his head fondly.

"That's because you're an alcoholic," James comments offhandedly, and whilst he knows no better I wince a little at his words, knowing Harry's past alcohol abuse.
