As I reached home, I dumped my bag on my bed in my room. Then left my house and made my way towards Shweta's house.

*knock knock*

"Beta, what brings you there? " Shweta's mother had opened the door.

"Is Shweta home?"

"Yes, she's in her room." She said, letting me in.

I barged into my friend's room. It was a norm. She was sitting there quietly. Staring at the blank wall.

"What's so fantastic about the wall that you can't take your eyes off it, huh?" I stated as I took a seat beside her.

"Nothing" as she rubbed her shoulders.

I looked her way and could make out a strange black shadow forming over her shoulder. I blinked and it was gone as if never there. That's when I realised how abnormally cold her room felt.

From all the source material I had read online, this was one of the signs a ghost was near. Ghosts absorb the heat around us as a source of energy to manifest. That's why there is a drop in temperature.

"My shoulder feels heavy." she stated.

I stared at her, "since when, did you turn into a grandma?"  I joked.

"did you start  having shoulder pain, since that day?"

"Which day?" she looked confused.

"Ouija board? does that ring a bell"

"What Ouija board are you talking about?" she looked confused. She wasn't playing around. She didn't remember it.

"oh well, the one we bought online." I said getting up and looking for it under her bed, where we had hidden it.

It wasn't there. Shoot! I could a bloodthirsty stare at my back, I could feel my heart pounding.

Just then Shweta's mom came in with some snacks." here, have some snacks also get, Shweta to eat as well she hasn't been eating well"

"Well, Aunty some other time 'I say as I take my leave.

I rush to the third floor. The floor rarely had anyone, 3 out of 4 rooms were empty. I opened my phone and searched for that mixed martial arts school.

I found it. Then I called the contact number that was given.

"I was expecting you, Kaya," a mature male voice said on the other end of the phone. It was definitely Dev.

"Help my friend, Dev," I pleaded through the phone.

"Okay, but what do I get in return?" he responded.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Well, for normal clients we charge a certain sum of money, but you are a special case, so..." he trailed off.

"You remember the guy Keshav?"

"What about him?" I asked, growing restless.

"Accompany me in the investigation of that case," he replied. I was dumbstruck.

"Isn't that something for the pros?" I asked.

"Well, are you paying me? Maybe I should send the bill..." Dev joked.

"Sir, I'm a broke college student, sir," I cut him off.

"Well, you can also wait...I mean when things start getting more serious, her parents will notice. You can suggest that they contact us," he suggested. I was getting frustrated.
