As I descended the stairs, the aroma of breakfast wafted through the air, luring me into the kitchen. Before I could reach for a cup of coffee, Katherine approached with a serious expression.

"Y/n, could we talk?" she asked, her tone carrying a mix of concern and firmness.

Nodding, I followed her into the office, where Kate dramatically gestured for me to take a seat. An air of anticipation settled in the room as I mentally retraced the events of the past 24 hours, realizing that a lecture about alcohol consumption might be in store.

As I settled into the chair in Katherine's office, the atmosphere shifted into an unexpected territory. Instead of diving into the anticipated discussion about the previous night's escapades, Katherine broached a different subject.

"Y/n," she began, her tone carrying a mix of concern and something more serious, "We've noticed there's something developing between you and Isaac."

My heart quickened as I gauged how much she might know about the unfolding connection between Isaac and me. My reply came cautiously, "Katherine, I think it's best if you discuss this with Isaac directly. I wouldn't want to misinterpret anything."

Her gaze bore into me with an intensity that made it clear she wasn't letting the matter go. "Y/n, I value transparency in this family. If there's something developing.. I would just like you to be-."

Feeling a mix of discomfort and vulnerability, I fidgeted with the edge of the chair. "Katherine, relationships are complicated. I can't speak for Isaac's feelings or intentions, maybe you should go and ask him about whatever this is."

She leaned forward, her eyes holding mine with a certain gravity. "I understand that, but I also want you to understand the responsibilities that come with relationships. I don't want any... complications happening under this roof, or anywhere else."

The uncomfortable conversation took an unexpected turn as Katherine delved into the topic of protection. The gravity of her words sank in, and a blush crept up my cheeks. "I assure you, Katherine, we're both very... very aware of the consequences of "complication" ... NOT that we would ever-.. , and we're very responsible," I stammered, trying to navigate the delicate discussion.

Her stern expression softened, but her gaze remained unwavering. "I trust that you'll make responsible decisions. Just remember, I'll be keeping an eye on things. Open communication is key."

As I left the office, the weight of her words lingered, a reminder that the unfolding relationship between Isaac and me carried not only emotional but also familial considerations.

As I stepped out of the office, a heavy atmosphere hung in the hallway, and I found myself face to face with a visibly disturbed Isaac. Our eyes locked for a moment, a silent exchange that spoke volumes. The air seemed to crackle with tension as an unspoken acknowledgment of the uncomfortable conversations we both faced.

A cringe passed over our expressions, and in that fleeting moment, it was evident that the discussions about our developing relationship and the responsibilities that came with it had left an impact. It was as if the weight of the impending conversations had cast a shadow over the easy camaraderie we shared.

Without uttering a word, Isaac and I carried the unspoken discomfort with us, a shared understanding of the challenges that lay ahead. The hallway, once a familiar and comforting space, now felt charged with the residual energy of discussions that had the power to shape the dynamics within the Walter/Garcia family.

As I navigated the corridors, my thoughts turned to the conversation that likely transpired between Isaac and George. Unlike Katherine's more hesitant approach, George had a reputation for being more direct and candid. I couldn't help but wonder what Isaac might have revealed during their discussion.
