"Could we go again please? I fucked up."

"Yeah. Ready?"

We all agreed as we got ready. Tom started playing the guitar and after a little it was Bill's cue to sing.

It was now my cue to join Bill for the chorus.

After a bit we finished singing the song. It's been a few months since Bill texted me, asking me to be in the band. I very happily agreed.

We have written quite a few songs together in those few months and we were currently practicing one of the songs Durch den Monsun.

We were practicing a lot lately because we are performing the song tomorrow night at this small event in town.

I am quite anxious about it since it's my first time performing on stage in front of people. But if I survived those Christmas plays, I'll be okay. Plus, we sounded great.

We were hoping this performance will get us somewhere. Start something for us.

I went and lied down on the couch. I was exhausted. My head was hurting like a bitch and my throat was killing me.

The song was a bit harder to sing especially when it came to the bridge, and we have been practicing for hours on end now.

"Are you okay?" asked Gustav as he put his drumsticks down. "Dying as we speak." I simply said, closing my eyes.

"Let's take a break." said Bill. He grabbed a water bottle and drank it. I sat up, seeing Bill coming to sit down. He did as I thought, and I leaned on him. I was so so tired.

"Drink some water, Mae."

I sighed, my eyes still closed. If I had to stand up right this moment I would straight up collapse. Then I heard someone grabbing a bottle. I opened my eyes to see Tom standing in front of me, holding the bottle for me to take. I took it and drank from it.

I felt like throwing up.

"Thank you."

"You don't look too good, dude." Georg said, sitting down next to me. "I think we just rehearsed too much. And I'm quite anxious about tomorrow. I need to get used to it that's all." I simply said.

"Yeah, let's end for today. It's been hours." said Bill, everyone agreeing. I sat up straight, leaning back on the couch. "Don't you wanna go home and rest?" Georg asked me and I looked at him. "I wanna be with you guys."

They all smiled. We all just sat in silence. It was comfortable though. Just being in their presence was enough for me.

"Do you guys wanna have a sleepover?"

I asked out of nowhere. I looked at the four, examining their expressions. I couldn't tell what they were thinking. Or what their answers will be. Thankfully they agreed. Quickly.

So, everyone went home and packed their stuff. We agreed for them to come at 4pm. It was 3:40pm currently which was plenty of time for me to clean my room. Not a deep clean, but a decent look is good enough.

My mom happily allowed the sleepover. She couldn't wait to properly meet the boys. She actually hasn't met them properly. Just a quick introduction and we were out the door. Probably didn't hear any of it so.

We didn't come to my house often and even if we did my mom was in work. It was also for like max 10 minutes.

Technically this will be their first time genuinely coming over. A bit nerve wrecking.

Soon it was 4pm and a knock was heard. I ran downstairs, seeing my mom already letting them in. "Hey!" I greeted them before giving them all hugs. "Okay, so. Mom this is Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav! And this is my mom and Mia." I introduced them.

Mia ran up and I picked her up, letting her rest on my hip. A conversation quickly struck up between them and I couldn't be happier. I looked over at Mia, knowing her very well.
