Shade's POV

It all began back then in the early two thousands, when I was young.

Sure, I may look good for my age, but I have all the back pains you'd expect.

Let's begin the story, shall we? I was a curious child who always was exploring the house, since I wasn't allowed outside...

"Mom! Can Eclipse and I play outside?" I'd asked countless times, always getting the same reply. "No."

Eclipse never really got along with me...he was rude. He never said hi or thank you.

Not even a goodbye before he started his journey. Now, writing this I'm tearing up.

'One day, you're gonna know what death is like' is the only thing he'd ever said to me. Was it a threat?, I'd always wondered...

Let's cut to the chase, shall we? Around seventy years ago...

"Bye, honey," Mom called to Eclipse. "Stay safe!" I was following Eclipse as he ignored my existence.

Eventually, we were lost in Viridian Forest, and before I knew what was happening, Eclipse was gone.

He left me there all alone. I died a few days later from dehydration and hunger.

I followed Eclipse as a spirit always cheering him on, until...

One day I felt myself turning back into a human, but I wasn't in control.

"Let's battle, the winner pays the price," I had said, but I couldn't do anything but watch.

After watching Eclipse lose and disappear into thin air, I was human again.

I sat there crying for what seemed to be months until I saw a person who looked exactly like him.

That's when I realized it hadn't been months, it had been years. That's when I remembered he abandoned me.

I continued to take his life each time he came back, showing no mercy. But now I feel bad.

I died again because I was doing the right thing. I knew Eclipse would have a sister in this timeline.

I staged it all, because I wanted this all to play out. I figured fighting Frostbite would finish off my last Pokémon.

I just wanted Eclipse to live his life. But now they all think I'm a bad guy...

No...I deserve this. I staged the act, all of it I pretended to be pure evil, I got treated like I was.

Now at least I get to see my other family member up here in heaven...except I can't find him.

Could it be that Nightmare is going after Eclipse? I hope not, that would ruin everything...

???'s POV

Walking past graveyards near Lavender Town was quite boring without anyone to scare.

Oh well, time to pay Eclipse a visit, I thought.

He'll be happy to see me...
