"Are you sure you're going to be fine?" my mom asked me for what seemed like the hundredth time.

"I'm sure mom, go have a great trip."

"We don't have to go."

"What do you mean we don't have to go?" I heard Luke questioning as he brought bags out to the truck.

"You are going. I'll be fine" I reassured her.

"What if you need to talk?"

"I have been dialing a phone successfully for several years now."

"Well we are not so far away, so we could come back if you need us"

"Come back? Rory is there something going on? Why is she so freaked to leave you?"

"Nothing is going on Luke. Just make sure she doesn't worry about me."

"Seriously Rory we're doing 'Walden' so we are just going to be camping."

"Camping?" I asked "Since when do you go camping?"

"I didn't really get to do 'Wild' so this is my chance to go out into nature and explore. It will be peaceful and" she paused trying to think of the right word.

"Dirty?" I offered.

"I hope so" she winked at me.

I rolled my eyes and gave her a hug before ushering them out the door. "I'll be fine guys. Have a good trip. I'll see you Wednesday."

"Call me if you need anything" she said giving me one last hug.

"I will mom" I said mustering up a smile on my face.

I heard the truck pull out of the driveway and I turned on the TV. I aimless flipped through the channels not really focusing. I turned the TV off and threw the remote down on the couch triumphantly. I selfishly regretted sending my mother off to her honeymoon, being alone with my thoughts was the last thing I wanted to do right now. I walked into my bedroom, picked up a book off my dresser and laid down on my bed. I pulled the picture I had been using as a bookmark out from the book, a picture of Logan and I from college from the Life and Death Brigade stunt. We were looking at each other deeply. The thought of the way he looked at me made my stomach flutter. I tossed the picture on my nightstand and started to read. The words were comforting and soon I felt myself drifting off to sleep. It was a restless sleep, filled with vivid dreams mostly of Logan. I woke up to a knocking on the door. I dragged myself out of bed and went to see who it was.

"Jess?" I asked groggily "what time is it?"

"Dinner time" he said holding up bags of take out.

"No I was going to take you out. I just need to shower and find. . ." I paused looking around the house.

"Or I brought you dinner and then you don't have to do anything except eat."

"Are you sure? I can be ready in fifteen minutes" I said yawning

He just looked at me sideways.

"It does smell good" I admitted.

"I got a little bit of everything. Burgers from Luke's, Chinese from Al's."

"You think you got enough food?" I asked teasing.

"We could always order pizza later if you are still hungry" he said smiling.

"Alright dinner in, but I owe you one" I said pulling plates out of the cabinet while Jess unpacked the take out containers.

"I'll hold you to that."
