Valentina's p.o.v

It was Saturday and I did not want to leave my bed. Like at all.

I was starting to feel sick about this whole situation. Blake and I haven't talked for about two whole weeks.

Which is fine by me because I didn't care.

That may be a lie.

But I was just going to never think about her again.

Another lie.

Today was the day Brian and I go bowling. I haven't gone bowling since I was a little girl. I was actually going to pick him around 12:00 pm. He insisted on picking me up instead, but I really wanted to drive my jeep.

I was also supposed to be looking for a job, but I've been pretty distracted.

I slowly sat up on my bed, taking a deep breath with my eyes closed. "Today is going to be a good day," I said out loud.

It's always good to have encouragement when you feel crappy.

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I lifted my arms afterwards to smell myself.

I figured I didn't smell that bad, but a little deodorant wouldn't hurt. With that in my mind, I decided to skip a shower.

I opened my drawers up and picked out black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt that says PINK on it.

After that, I slowly put my hair in a low ponytail and I was done basically. The only makeup I wore was a little mascara. I felt pretty tired and I wasn't sure if this was the best idea.

I didn't think this was a date, however, it was never clarified. I heard a text notification from my phone and picked it up.

It was Brian. He texted me his address and sent a smiley face. I texted back okay and grabbed my car keys.

I didn't feel really good about going with Brian bowling, but I was going to make the best of it. I even invited Macy to tag along with Brian and me. She was going to meet us there.

---------------

I pulled up to Brian's house, sending a quick text that I'm outside. I thumped my nails up against the steering wheel nervously.

Was this a good idea? Should I tell him that I invited Macy now, or should I wait until we get to the bowling alley and yell surprise?

Brian came out of the front door and started walking towards the passenger's seat. He gave a bright smile that showed off his straight white teeth.

His black hair was ruffled playfully, making him have the boy next door look.

I still wasn't sure about this friendship and what we both had in mind, but he was very handsome...I had to give a little credit for that.

Not as cute as Blake though. I clenched the steering wheel and boxed my lips.

I hated thinking about her, but she was constantly on my mind. I didn't see her and Taylor much together at all during school, but Blake didn't seem to want to talk to me regardless.

--------

The side door open and a whiff of strong cologne started to suffocate me. I mumbled a hi to Brian as I rolled down the windows.

"Why are you doing that? It's almost 50 degrees out here," Brian said, instantly wrapping his arms around his chest.

"I haven't felt the best, so the cold air is helpful," I lied.
