"Pakiramdam mo ba'y naging bayani ka sa ginawa mo?!"

Kanina ko pa gustong umiyak? Although I received praises and appreciation from others, I also received this kind of humiliation towards this boastful men. I bit my lower lip. I don't want them to see that I'm getting weak just because of this.

"Sir, I did not do it with the intention of becoming a hero. I did it because I was able to read his mind! He was about to shoot the girl in the head when I did it!" Hindi ko maiwasang pagtaasan si Captain Perez ng boses.

I can see agreement on the eyes of Sergeant Cooper and the others who appreciated me. Nakahawak sa kamay ko si Phoenix all the time but he remained silent sa hindi ko alam na rason. Even Selena is silent too. I feel so alone right now. Hindi rin yata nila ako naiintindihan.

"What are you? A mind reader?" And the high ranking officers laugh in chorus.

Nakakawalang respeto ang ginagawa nila. They seemed to look liked they are not professional in the field.

"I am not, Sir. I am just a woman who was not born to help and has a lack of knowledge on how to properly save human lives but did it to give hope and to feel deserving of being called a human."

They all went silent after what I said. Kinindatan lang ako ni Sergeant Cooper.

Coronel Sanchez cleared his throat before he spoke. "Do you know why you messed the operation? Here's to let you know why. Ang operasyon na iyon ay para patahimikin ang ano man kaguluhan laban sa militia. We did not intent to kill him because his son is not there and we just lost a lead."

Ngayon ay nainitindihan ko ang kamalian ng aking ginawa kahit maganda pa ang intensyon ko nang gawin ko iyon. The possibilities of Ferrer's son getting his revenge flashed on my mind.

"You are a clever girl, and I believe you already understand by now."

Buong gabi akong hindi makatulog. I am happy with what I did but I did not make others happy. Phoenix kept on telling me that what I did was right and he believed that they will have a lead in no time since they still have two of Ferrer's men. Ipinaliwanag rin nya kung bakit hindi nila ako ipinagtanggol ni Selena. Dahil alam daw nilang kaya kong ipagtanggol ang sarili ko. I cried so hard after our talk. The humiliation seeps on me repeatedly and it kept me awake. 

I don't know what to do after everything. Yes, the mission did not fail but the mission did not succeed a hundred percent, too.

Nailigtas namin ang mga kinidnap ng militia mula sa Camp Hawkins at may iba ring mga nagboluntaryong sumama dahil ayaw nila sa pamamalakad ni Ferrer at ng anak nito.

"Ate, 'wag mo ng masyadong isipin ang nangyari. Tapos na 'yon at isipin mo nalang ang nailigtas mong buhay."

Ngumuso lang ako sa sinabi ni Hebrew bago nanlalaki ang matang napatingin sa kanya. Tungkol nga pala sa babaeng 'yon. I found out that he is Machia's sister. Kinunotan lang ako ng noo ni Hebrew.

"You are weird." Sinimangutan ko lang si Hebrew.

Wala si Phoenix ngayon. Nandoon kasama si Selena kaya naiwan kami ni Hebrew dito sa kwarto na pansamantalang pinatulogan sa amin. May trabaho kami dapat ni Hebrew pero nagpaalam muna sya para samahan ako at nagpaalam rin ako na magpahinga muna sa kadahilanang nilalagnat ako kahit hindi naman totoo. I just need rest since I wasn't able to sleep last night.

Tatlong katok ang narinig namin na agad namang nagpatayo kay Hebrew para tignan kung sino iyon.

Nanatili lang akong nakatulala. Hindi agad nakabalik si Hebrew kaya nag angat na ako ng tingin sa may pinto. Nakita ko syang nakatayo lang doon.
