Domenico's POV

Beep! Beep! Beep! Be— I just about broke my alarm clock when I slammed my fist on the top to turn it off.

Wow. She never even came by last night so I could tell her what was happening. Does she not want to hear it or something? Is she mad at me for not telling her already? Giovanni must have told her, right? I looked at my clock. 4:15. I got to leave for work in an hour. I signed out loud; reality hitting me in the chest. I'm going to have to keep my distance from her, she needs to figure out what she wants.

I decided not to take the chauffeur car that father provides for all of his business buildings. They are mainly used by Giovanni, him, and me, but other times they are used by some out-of-town business associates. I decided to use of my cars—a 2018 Koenigsegg Agera.

As soon as I arrived at the building, I knew today was going to be a rough day. I rode the elevator to the 193rd floor, where my office was, which was at the top of the building. After I said hello to Valentina, I walked into my office and noticed the pile of paper on my desk that had accumulated over the time that I was gone. Fun.

Alessandra's POV

"Today was awesome! Giovanni, Domenico's dad, took Bailey and I shopping in Florence, and then got lunch and more shopping in Milan. And we got there by a private jet!" Bailey and I were currently talking to my dad about the day we were having.

"Yeah, and I got this new jumpsuit for racing!" Bailey yelled into the phone, making us laugh. I looked at the and realized that it was around dinner time, and I was starting to get hungry.

"Alright dad, imma let you go, me And Bailey are gonna get dinner."

"Sounds good sweetie, I'll talk to you soon." I ended the call, put my phone on the charger, and went downstairs to start making dinner.

The next three days weren't as fun. Bailey and I did some fun things together. We went to nightclubs, drove around, Bailey even met a cute guy. But, I still couldn't figure out why Domenico hasn't talked to me since the first night he got here. I promised myself I was going to confront him tonight about it. I knew that he didn't have work tonight, so I was gonna make him tell me.

I was helping Bailey make dinner for everyone when Giovanni pulled me aside. "May I talk to you in private, my dear?"

"Yeah, just let me put this apron back in the kitchen." I took off the apron, told Bailey I was gonna be gone for a couple minutes, and followed Giovanni to his office.

"There is something I need to tell you. It's about your father." I nodded my head, slowly. Unsure of what he was about to say.

Domenico's POV

I walked in through the house door, and went straight for the kitchen. As soon as I opened the door, I almost wanted to back out. I saw Bailey, and whenever I see Bailey, I always think of Alessandra. I can't think of her right now.

"What's up, asshole." She greeted me. I rolled my eyes. "No, seriously. What has been going on with you lately? You've been distant, and driving Aless crazy."

"What are you talking about?" I was sincerely confused.

"Are you freaking kidding me?!" She was starting to get frustrated with me, and I didn't know why. "Dude, she's totally in to you. She hasn't looked at someone like she looks at you, in a long time." I knew who she was referring to. Dante. I started to feel terrible. "Then you go ahead and you just basically disappear."

"Well, I knew she needed time to decide what she wanted!" I was starting to raise my voice like hers.

"She wants you, idiot!"

"But I want her to decide if she wants to stay here with her real father, or go back to America to be with that other guy!" I was officially yelling. But I knew I made a huge mistake when I saw the look on Bailey's face go from angry, to confused in a second.

"What—what are you talking about?" I became confused.

"Didn't Giovanni pull her aside?"

"He just did." Oh no, what have I been doing? "Whatever is going on, you need to be comforting her. Right now." She pointed a finger at me. I immediately ran to Giovanni's office door. Right before I was going to knock, he came out.

"How is she?" I asked, almost nervously.

"She's okay. She just needs some time right now to figure this all out." I could see her through the crack of the door before it was shut. She looked like she just saw a ghost.

"I'll see her." He looked at me suspiciously.

"Why? No love, Domenico. You know the rules of going over there and coming back." I sighed in anger. "Go to a club or something. Your last girl Amber showed up here last night looking for you. Go to a club with her." Amber?! Really?! That chick is so annoying. I was only with her because her sister was hot.

"I'm not going with Amber. I just call some of the guys." I turned and started towards my room. On my way, Bailey stopped me and pulled me into the kitchen.

"Amber. Speak." Fantastic.
