Alessandra's POV

The soft mumbling of Domenico woke me. I was still laying in his bed with only a grey silk sheet covering me as Domenico, only laced in his boxers, paced around at the bottom of the bed, talking to a person on the phone.

"Te l'ho detto, padre, mi serve un nuovo assistente. Ho lasciato andare l'altra ragazza. Era incompetente e sciatta." (1) He spoke annoyed into the phone, then paused to listen to his father on the other line. He sighed as he spoke again, "Bene. Sarò in ufficio tra due ore. Di' al tuo assistente di avere le signore in fila e pronte per il colloquio in un'ora e mezza." (2) He ended the call and turned around. "Did I wake you?" He asked me. I shook my head.

"How about me?" He looked at me confused. "Me as your new assistant." I smiled as I offered the idea, and he looked as if he was honestly considering it. "I know you're going to be working more, and I'm not gonna stay here all by myself. Bailey and Ryan are already thinking about moving here, and I'm used to working for my own money." He looked down and grinned, shaking his head slowly.

"You have an hour and a half to get ready and get your little self over there." I grinned and hopped out of bed, momentarily forgetting I was completely naked. Embarrassed, I grabbed the sheet as quickly as I could, wrapping it around myself. Domenico smirked, walked over, pulled me in and kissed me hard. "Ti amo." (3) I quickly ran to my bathroom and started to get ready.

I got there with 15 minutes to spare, and I was incredibly nervous. A white and black gridded skirt hugged my hips, with a black long sleeve v-neck shirt tucked in. I adjusted my resume on the way here so that it was present and ready. There was a competitive feeling that laced the atmosphere, every girl here to win the spot for Mr. Domenico Costa's assistant. An woman who looked to be in her 40s walked through the lobby door.

"Alright, girls. I will he taking your resumes away from you and you will be given an exam as your interviewing. This will determine whether you get the job or not." She handed out a piece of paper to everyone. "Good luck." A test? What do you have up your sleeve Domenico? "Oh and one last thing," she announced turning towards us, "no names on the paper." Okay then.

I skimmed over the paper.

I picked up my paper and handed it to the receptionist. She said thank you and let me know that I could leave and they would be in touch with me by tonight. I said thank you, picked up my bag and left. Please go well. Please go well. Please. Please. Please.

(1) I told you, father, I need a new assistant. I let the other girl go. She was incompetent and sloppy.

(2) Fine. I'm going to be at the office in two hours. Tell your assistant to have the ladies lined up and ready for the interview in an hour and a half.

(3) I love you.
