Reincarnated to switch places with a princess (PART 1)

Chapter 7

The sight that greeted me was a black nothingness.  

where am I?

Looking around, I realised I was floating. I opened my mouth but nothing as if I had lost my voice another thing I realised was that I wasn't wearing any clothes. 

" Don't leave!"

A bright light filled the space, as it dyed down, I noticed the space around me had changed. It was too dimmed to make out the details but the area around me was what seemed to be a field, the sky illuminated by shining stars and there standing in the centre were two figures.

" What are you doing?" said the shorter figure, the silhouette telling me that this person was a woman, the way she acted was like a noble and despite the words, she was worried.

The other figure was a man," Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." He said, his voice comforting and gentle.

" But if they find out-" she was cut off when the man placed a figure on her lips, " You like me don't you ( )" 

I wasn't able to hear the rest because the next thing I knew, the space around me began cracking and breaking apart, my legs caught in it began being pulled down by what seemed like tendrils, a dark shadow formed, the words it said as what seemed to be a smile formed slowly becoming human-like, 

" What a lovely place. I like it. This place--your  name.. Would you give it to me...?

"AAAAHHHH!"

Sitting up straight, I felt sweat run down from my forehead as I panted heavily. I look around, I was sitting in in my room, my clothes had been taken off and now wrapped with a piece of cloth.  

what the heck was that?

I swear that thing whatever it was wasn't good but still what the heck was  that dream about it was like I was looking at someone's life. That definitely wasn't part of the novel. What in the world is going on?

" I see you're finally awake."

I turn startled to see Kevin at the door. He looked tired, his clothes were rumpled and his hair was messy. 

" You better get dressed, prince Alexander is currently outside, he wishes to speak to you and let's just say you have a lot to explain." 

Oh great. This has definitely gone off the script. Rubbing my aching head, I wave him off, " No problem just give me five minutes." With that, Kevin closes the door leaving me alone. 

I quickly walk over to the wardrobe, there were a hundred dresses but since he probably knows my secret I decided to just grab a dress shirt and a pair of pants that I ' borrowed' from the servants.

I was greeted with the sight of a certain prince laying grumpily on the sofa, his hair like Kevin a bit of a mess , the aide who I now remember as Alfred stood loyally by  his side. Alfred....thinking about it he wasn't really a super important character but I always found his backstory quite interesting. 

He was if I'm not wrong a gefluget a sub-species of Beastias. Beastias liked the name suggested were half animal half human, their a species that are like in every fantasy book, oppressed and looked down by normal humans with only a few kingdoms having co-existence with them.

Now the Gefluget they were rare, like its name it meant, they have a variety of wings from those like an eagle's to those like an angel's. However because of their rarity, they are hunted to near extinction. Alfred in his society is that of a high ranking noble executioner who passes judgement, he was pretty prejudiced until he met Alexander but still has to hide his race for fear of being hunted.

Taking my seat, " so you probably have a lot of questions." I said as I looked at the floor. 

" Yes." said Alexander as he closes his eyes, " one of them is WHY THE HECK ARE YOU A BOY?!"

I was wondering how he knew but I simply sighed," This is going to be a long story, so take a seat." I answered, directing the last few words at Kevin and Alfred. I told them the entire story on how I came to palace and the situation I am placed him, will except the part of how I wasn't the real William and the fact I was supposed to be dead.

Finishing the story, the look the briars gave us was simple,shocked. Alfred was the first to snap out of the shock, " so what you're saying is that you under the orders of the empress dowager are to pretend to be your sister." I wouldn't say sister though, but I simply nodded my head.

The next thing I knew they both fainted from shock.

" Oh my. It seemed it was too much for them." said Kevin. Frankly I found it more surprising was how he was so calm. As he slung the both of them across his arm, I couldn't help but asked, " um-kevin but why are they still here? Weren't they supposed to leave last night?" 

He looks at me amused, " Will let's just say they will be staying with us for the rest of six months as a form of cultural experience." 

"what.." the next thing I knew it was my turn to faint.

( 3rd POV)

" You know i can't carry all three of you right?" said Kevin as he caught Lukas from dropping onto the floor. 

Lugging the now unconscious people to the bedroom, he couldn't help but sigh. These six months were definitely going to be trouble, his thoughts couldn't help but going back to the previous night.

Flashback

" What do you mean their dead?!" exclaimed Alexander, the look he gave murderous.

" I'm sorry your highness but it seems they seemed to enjoy the taste of cyanide very much." replied the bloody Alfred examining the dead assassins. " But isn't it odd, I understand the part where you said that they were going to kidnap you for profit but from the ones you said and to these people are completely different." said Kevin as he held the asleep Lukas in his arms, directing his words to the young prince.

Crossing his arms, Alexander ponders on this for awhile, " You're right. But this doesn't make sense, if there are two groups then why?" he said feeling frustrated. " But if there is one thing I'm sure about is that they were targeting the princess." 

" The princess." 

" I got it!" The two aides look at the prince, " Kevin was it. Please tell your king that Alfred and I will be staying much longer than expected because by the looks of things this doesn't seem simple. " exclaimed the prince with a smirk

Kevin startled a little couldn't help but start chuckling if this child was really going to help out they might as well learn the secret.

" Very well then but there is something you need to know...."

In an abandoned alley somewhere, a shadow wreathed about, its claws dragged against the walls leaving traces of marks, a crazed smile spread across its empty face, 

"ALL RIGHT EVERYONE! THE FUN PARADE IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!"
