Ellie's POV:

Rena stood in front of me with the dress hugged tightly on her body.

It looked exactly how I envisioned, but even better.

She looked absolutely stunning. The way her features embraced the fabric even more, made my heart beat with happiness.

"You look stunning, Rena." I said with a big smile as my eyes searched the dress.

"Honey, it was all you. I absolutely love it! You have some talent!" She said she spun and looked at herself in the mirror.

"I am so glad that you like it. Your going to shine tomorrow night."

She rolled her eyes playfully. "You are to kind. And to fly all the way out here just to give it to me? How come you didn't just mail it? I would have received it in time?"

Shit.

I felt the heat begin to rise in my body tempature.

How are you supposed to tell your, I guess, secret boyfriend's sister, that you flew out here for him and not mainly to give her the dress.

Or do you not?

I don't fucking know. And although I hate to lie, I came up with the best thing I could think of.

"Well. You know how shipping is. Sometimes can cost a lot of money. And I wanted to make sure I was here, just in case you needed any measurements done."

She nodded as she gave me a cheeky smile. "So it's not because you have a thing for my older brother?"

My eyes widened, as I couldn't help but cough out loud.

"No Ms. Russo. I don't have any sort of relationship with your brother. Did I do something to make you believe that I did?"

She crossed her arms as she turned around to face me.

Her lip quivered as I could see her white pearls shine through her lips.

"Maybe by the way he was looking at you this afternoon, might have told me a different story."

God. Fuck Nikolai's gazing stares. They always seem to get me into trouble.

"Oh. I didn't notice."

She rolled her eyes again, "Ellie. You can tell me you know. And don't say you don't like him, because whether or not your going to admit it, I also payed attention to the way YOU looked at him."

I shrugged my shoulders. "I didn't think I was giving him any look."

A scoff came from her chest, "That's the point, you normally don't notice it until someone tells you."

I couldn't help but chuckle.

Her eyes studied me deeply, as I could tell she was trying to read me.

"You seem like you are a very headstrong person, and very smart."

I grinned big. "I guess."

"Well then. Let me ask you one question."

My head glanced up towards her.

"Are you happy?"

Was I happy? Like really and truly happy? Or, was I the kind of happy that teenagers fake when they are in some sort of depressive stage. Was I, filled with joy, filled with a undeniable feeling to smile all the time.

"Yes." I replied to her.

She nodded once. "Well then, that tells me everything I need to know." She answered as she gave me one last warm smile.

"Anyways, you did a lovely job at my dress. I am seriously in love with it." She said as her finger and hands messed with the light blue frills.

"So you like it? Nothing needs to be looked at or fixed?"

She shook her head as a small tint of red to her cheeks. "Nope. I think I am good to go."

All the sudden, the door slammed open, causing both me and Rena's heads to spin around.

And their stood Nik. He gave me and Rena a glance before fixing his eyes onto me as he took a few steps closer.

His presence filled me with nervousness as I could tell by his face he was not well, and that something had happened.

"We're leaving." He said. His voice stern and real.

My eyebrows furrowed. "Why?"

"Because. I said so. Let's go. We will see you at the party."

Rena looked puzzled as she waived her hands in the air. "What's wrong? What did dad do now?!"

Dad? What does she mean by what did HE do?

"We are LEAVING." He said as he raised his voice.

I nodded as I stood up as I grabbed my purse and threw it over my shoulder.

Nik walked over to me, as he gripped my arm, practically pulling me with him.

What the hell was going on?

"Bye Rena. Take care of Mom."

"What-" was all I heard before Nikolai shut the door to her room, cutting her sentence off.

"What is wrong?!" I asked as we began to head down the steps.

He didn't respond but I could tell by the muscles that tensed up in his jaw that something had happened with his family and whatever it was. It wasn't good.
