"I won't let you go out there and fight that demon!" Claude yelled as he held Fanny's arm tightly.
"Claude, it is my responsibility to protect the empire," Fanny explained. "My team is waiting for me, please, let me fight."
Claude held both of her shoulders and leaned his forehead on his.
"How can I let you go when there's a chance you won't be coming back?" he said in a soft tone.
Fanny felt guilty. He is her lover and she does not like it when he is in this state of vulnerability. It pains her to see him like this.
She hugged him tight.
"I can't promise I'll come back alive but I will try my hardest to return to your side," she said.
Claude lets her go and he has no other choice but to watch the woman he loves walk towards the front of the battlefield.
"Another tragic ending brought about by the darkness," Lunox said as she watches the Claude and Fanny separate.
