"Miss Teen USA?" you ask wondering if you heard what your sister said right.

"Yes but before you ask anything, let me explain," Jia-Li says as she grabs your pillow and get off your bed. She starts walking around your room while hugging the pillow, "I was on the phone with Yuji, we were talking about the usual modelling stuff. And you know I'm close with Yuji on dad's side of the family. We were talking and then Yuji mentioned the Miss Universe and how I should take a chance to participate once I'm of age," Jia-Li tells you and you close your computer, sit back and your sister ramble.

"It was all jokes at first but then we started to get really into it. Obviously I can't enter the Miss Universe as I'm not an adult nor do I have any future career to impress the judges with," Jia-Li says and you wanted to interrupt her and tell her that it wasn't true but you first wanted her to finish.

"And beauty pageants here in Japan, I believe also says I have to be an adult. And you know I have never participated in a beauty pageant before as I never had to confidence to sign up for it or ask mom and dad for it because i'm scared they're going to say that it's stupid. But Yuji and I continued to talk, saying how I would be perfect as I have a good modelling career, a pretty smile and all that shit to participate and then I remember about the Miss Teen USA which I have explained to him and he told me that I should do it. We ended the conversation to that I can talk to Sophiya. I told her about it and she was all up for it, even asked me to help out with the makeup and all that but then I said something like how i'm here in Japan and won't be able to participate but Sophiya suggested something that I'm sort of considering," Jia-Li tells you nervously as she jumps on your bed and lays on it while still holding your pillow.

"And what would that be?" you ask.

Jia-Li lays on her side to look at you as she continues to look at you, "Going back to California on my own, live with grandma and grandpa or one our uncles or aunts, compete in the pageant, win and represent California and then compete in the Miss Teen USA," Jia-Li tells you nervously which shocked you.

You get off you seat and walk to your bed. You gently sit down and look at your sister who rolls to look at you nervously, "Let me see if I understand this," you say with. calm voice, "You want to compete in the pageant which I think is great and you have my full support, but Jia, you aren't going back to California until you're eighteen and I know you know this. So, you're asking or saying that you want to go back, live with one of our family member and try to win the Miss Teen USA?" you ask, wondering if you got it all.

"Okay, I get it. It was stupid," Jia-Li says as she gets up and was going to leave you room but you stop her.

"No, Jia," you tell her which made her look at you, "I think it's great," you honestly tell her with a gentle smile.

"Really?" Jia-Li ask as she sees hesitant about this idea.

"Jia, I watched you grow up. I was there with you since your birth and while growing up, every time those pageant girls show up on TV, you would light up and get all excited. I mean, when mom and dad wasn't home, you would run into their bedroom, grab mom's dresses and make up and dress up. You would do a small fashion show for me and mark. I mean, remember mark saying how he was going to be your bodyguard? How he was going to protect you?" you ask her and Jia-Li smiles.

"Yeah," she says, "But they weren't my only inspiration, you also inspired me, (Name)," she confesses as she takes your hands, "Ever since we were young, you were alway the centre of the attention. You would dance, sing and look like you were on the top of the world and I have alway felt lucky to have a sister like you because you never have once been mean or horrible to me. When I took your clothes, you would compliment me and tell me that it looked better on me than it did on you. You would play with me. Let me dress up and let me dress you up. You would let me do your nails and even if they were bad, you kept them on and showed them off. You encouraged me to follow my dreams and just like mom, taught me to be kind despite my looks or what I have," she tells you with a smile.
