Freya's POV (first person)
I was scrambling down the uneven cobblestone pathway, unsure off my surroundings. I had been walking for hours, and had past countless grand buildings, that all seemed to be deserted.
So you could guess my reaction, when I felt someone grab my wrist.
I instantly hit at the stranger, till I acknowledged who they were, and the group of people behind them.
"Jace", I said.
"In the flesh", he replied, smirking.
I instantly threw my arms around him and hugged him, tightly.
"Jace.... how did you get here?", I asked.
"Magnus", he said.
"How exactly..", I said.
"Do we get back.. I didn't really think that through", Jace said.
"We can't go back, just yet... Jace Valentine's planning something, very, very bad... he thinks he knows where the mortal cup is", I said.
"Does he?", Jace whispered.
"Not yet", I said.
"Do you know where it is?", Jace asked.
I nodded.
"My father hid it, in a painting and auctioned it a few years ago, it ended up being shipped to an address in Kent, before you ask how I know, you know how Magnus said my memories might come back, all at once", I said.
"You remember everything", Jace said.
"Yes, and Adrian isn't my father", I said.
"And Valentine isn't yours", I said.
"Your not making any sense", Jace said.
"My mother, is Adele brightstar, my father is Valentine, and my brother is Jonathan", I said.
"I'm your brother", Jace said.
"Nope, Valentine, like the sick psychotic piece of garbage he is, lied to you, I've met my brother, and he is no better than Valentine, which is a bit of a disappointment, considering I've always wanted a sibling, being an only child, kinda sucked, but it didn't at the same time, I would never consider Valentine my father, Adrian..", I babbled.
Jace leaned in and kissed my cheek.
"Calm down Frey....", Jace said.
"But...", I said.
Jace held both of my hands, and whispered, "it will be ok, keep your chin up, I'll always be there for you".
"Awww your so cute, never knew you were much of a romantic Jacey", I teased.
"Oh shut up Frey", he replied whilst smirking.
"Is Alec....", I said.
"Here, yes", Jace said.
"On a scale of one to ten, how mad was he when you dragged him to England", I asked.
"Zero", Jace said.
Two figures emerged from further down the road. Alec and Isabelle.
Alec ran towards me and picked me up, and spun me in the air.
"Dramatic... much", I said sarcastically, whilst smiling.
"Nope", Alec said.
"Aww... you missed me", I said whilst ruffling his hair.
Jace started to cough.
"Jealous Jacey?", I asked.
Isabelle shot me a look that probably meant, 'no sh*t'. Something clearly happened whilst I was gone, because Alec and Jace acted like they were enemies. From the way they were glaring at each other.... it definitely added to my ongoing list of suspicions.
Seriously. What had happened?
"What did I miss? Because you're both acting strange", I said, whilst glaring at Jace and Alec.
"You wouldn't know the half of it", Isabelle murmured.
"So how are we getting back, or am I just going to be stuck watching Alec and Jace glare at each other for eternity", Isabelle said.
"We don't, not yet, we need to stop Valentine from getting the mortal cup", I said.
"Not happening", Alec said.
"What do you mean 'not happening', Alec?", I asked.
"I meant, it's.not.going.to.happen", Alec said.
"You're being ridiculous", I said, through my gritted teeth.
"We need to stop Valentine", Jace said.
"Jace.... look... I know he's your father", Alec said.
"He's not", Jace said.
"What!", Isabelle and Alec said, both looking thoroughly confused.
"That's not important right now", I said, avoiding eye contact with everybody.
"What are you not telling us?", Alec asked.
"It doesn't matter", I said.
"Fine... he's my father, my mother was Adele Brightstar, my brother is Jonathan....", I said.
"Jace...", Alec said in bewilderment.
"No... I've met my brother.... he's a complete nut job, Valentine lied to Jace", I said.
"Oh", Alec said.
"Yes, oh", I said, whilst rolling my eyes.
"To what do I owe this pleasure.... it's very nice to meet your friends, Freya", Jonathan said.
