"Patri I need to leave right now"I say to her "what Hardin you can't leave"she crosses her arms at me "Tessa has gone into fucking labour I'm going"I open my phone to try get a flight "Hardin you have a commitment you can't just leave"
"I have got a commitment to Tessa I'm going"I storm of I have a flight in one hour and it will be a 6 hour plane ride 7 hours 7 fucking hours to get back to Tessa I will hate myself if I miss the birth of my child
I still cannot believe Tessa has gone into labour early everyone is probably pissed well I know they are that I left my book tour but I wasn't missing the birth of my child I just wish the cab would hurry up
Doctors want Tessa to start pushing in a couple of minutes
Fuck same I'm almost there I text Nora back "can't you drive any faster"I snap at the cab driver "I'm going as fast as I can"
"We'll go faster"
I finally get to the hospital and rush up to Tessa "Excuse me sir you can't go up there"a security guard try's to stop me "My wife is giving birth right now I need to go up there"I scream at him "ugh Tessa Young is her name"I try say calmly "please I can't miss this"I say to him "Fine go ahead"he says and I rush up "Excuse me do you know what room Tessa Young is in"I ask a nurse "just down the hall to the left I better have made it in time
"oh Hardin thank god"she says when I make it into the room "did you have her yet"
"No no I didn't" "I'll leave you to goodluck "Nora leave the room "I'm so happy your here"she starts to cry "me to I wouldn't miss it"
"Ok Tessa push again"The nurse says "ughhhg"
"You can do this Tess"I try encourage her "one more push on your next contraction"
"Hardin I don't think I can do this anymore"Tessa says I can tell she is exhausted I feel so bad "you can Tessa just think about it in a couple of minutes our baby will be here"I take her hand "Tessa here it is push on one,two,three push"The nurse says "keep going to going I can see a head almost there 9:45 baby girl"The nurse holds up the baby "oh my god"Tess says as she is placed on her chest and she starts to cry "hi baby"she says and looks up to me I also have tears in my eyes "she is so tiny Tess we did it"
"We did we have our miracle"I just stare down at her in Tessa's arms "babe she is staring right up at you"I say to Tessa and she smiles "she is"
"She knows your her mummy"I say and Tessa turns to me "I love the way you say that"she smiles up at me "what mummy"I ask her "yes something the way you say that I just love"she says and I give her a kiss
"I'll take her to clean her"The nurse says taking the baby
"Here you go all clean"she brings our baby over "no let Hardin hold her"Tessa says and she is placed in my arms "I'm scared incase I drop her"
"She looks so tiny in your arms"Tessa says and she starts to open her eyes and she looks up at me and honestly I just feel this love with her "she is gorgeous"
"Do yous have a name"the nurse asks us "umm not yet"Tessa tells her and I take a look at her "Tess why does she keep opening her mouth like this "she is probably hungry are you goi g to try breastfeeding"The nurse takes her from me "yeah that was my plan"Tessa tells her and she placed her on her chest "I think she latched on it feels strange"Tessa says to the nurse "it will at the start just remember to keep simulating the breast"the nurse tells her I can't stop looking at her breast they just look so big but I can't really see them with the baby's head in the way
We get brought back to the ward the baby is sleeping now in her little crib and I sit beside Tessa "I'm so proud of you I know that wasn't easy"
"It was worth it"The baby starts to cry again and I get up of the bed taking her out "shhh it's ok"I sit back down on the bed and she lets out a little sneeze I never thought I would be obsessed with anyone but Tessa "I can't get over she is real"I rub her cheek "how about Emery"I blurt out "what"Tessa lifts her head of my shoulder "Emery for her name"
"Emery that's her name"she says it's crazy months trying to plan her name but the minute we meet her straight away her name came "Emery Scott I love it"Tessa says "I have never seen a cuter baby oh Hardin I just love her so much"
Tessa has wanted this for so long before she even met me and she was going to give up been a mother for me I just know she is going to be amazing "what's that smell"I say "oh no Emery went the toilet"

I'm still in shock honestly I can't believe we have a baby and Emery is just the perfect name I don't even know how Hardin came up with it he is gone home for the night Emery's birth was such a rush yet took so long I'm glad it did because Hardin made it in time .She looks just like me but she has green eyes she is also very long 23 inches which she clearly gets from Hardin even watching her in her sleep she pulls the same angry scowl that he has I'm just waiting for her to wake up for her feed it feels weird breastfeeding but I love the feel of her close to me "Are you hungry baby"I lift her out of her crib and she yawns she has her arms out to me well my boobs the doctor said I could go home in two days that's good Emery was perfectly fine even with been born early
