Rebecca

When I arrived, I found Rachel and Cody in the kitchen chowing down on a hot dog. I never did get anybody the food they wanted thanks to Tristan. He better not show his face here either, or else I'll be the one beating in his face.

"Hey guys." I smiled s I sat down and joined them. "Cody are you sure you're okay?" I asked him.

He made a duck face, thinking it was a dumb question. "Of course I'm okay, I'm eating food," he scoffed. Rachel nudged his side and I saw him wince a little. Some guys just never learn, they can't hide anything from us.

"Uh huh, I'm sure you're feeling fantastic," I chuckled. He glared at Rachel, but she just ignored him. I still feel as if she is hiding something from me, but I won't continue to bug her about it. Like I said before, she'll spit it out when she's ready. Man, I wish I was my own friend, we'd get along so well.

"Did you thank Pat, Dylan, and Cameron for helping you out?" Cody asked with a mouthful of hot dog in his mouth.

Hmph, as if. "No I did not, instead I yelled at Cameron for sticking his nose in my buisness. You all should have stayed out of it," I told him stubbornly.

Both he and Rachel gave me blank stares. "Rebecca, they got in a fight for you," Rachel squealed.

"No, they got in a fight for Cody." I argued. They're your friends, not mine," I said towards Cody. I can't help it if it's true.

"Well I was still there to defend you, even if they weren't." He argued.

So what? This is the first time ever, that he has come to my rescue. When people would talk shit about me behind my back, no one was there but me, and occasionally Rachel. He knew people treated me bad, but he never cared. So why now? My guess is to help Cameron get on my good side. Too bad I've got them all figured out now.

"What do you want me to say Cody? Thanks for taking a punch for me so Tristan would leave me alone?" I asked doubtfully.

His eyes were the side of a dough-nut, which was kind of funny. "Uh yeah!" He frowned.

"Then thank you for the effort. Neither you or anyone else can stop Tristan from messing with me." I explained to him. None of them understand like I do. He's persistant and he always gets what he wants. Just like Cameron, but not as bad. Now they both want me, and would kill the other just to get me in bed with them for one night. It's bullshit and I won't let either of them succeed.

"Whatever," he muttered as he got up and vanished into the living room where most of the party was taking place.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Rachel looking at me in disbelief. She's going to lecture me now about how rude I am being, but her ex boyfriend didn't just confront her, call her a bitch, and then a weakling. Of course I could explain it to her, but I don't want to share my issues with other people. Throughout my life people just took what I told them, and used it against me later on. I love her and Cody too much to have to end my friendship with them for the same reason. Sure they might say they wouldn't ever tell a soul, but lets face the facts. Everyone gets mad at someone else and ends up retaliating later on. I've even done it a few times.

"Don't look at me like that Rachel." I sighed.

"Fine, but we better start partying otherwise this was all for nothing," she smiled. I wanted to die when she got up and tried to pull me out of the seat I was comfortably seated in. "Come on lazy," she laughed.

"Okay," I smiled. There was no way I could talk my way out of going out there and dancing with her. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em is what I've learned through high school.
