Chapter Three

::::CHAPTER THREE::::

"Let's say you were stranded on a desert island with a broken leg. Twenty hungry lions are headed your way. A knife is beside you. Would you kill yourself or let the lions eat you?" Maggie asked, looking between Brandie, M&M and me intensely. I bit into my veggie burger and held back my gag reflex. I'm not a vegetarian. This school is so jacked up; they force us not to eat meat. The only protein here is the stupid tofu, which is straight up the nastiest thing I have ever tasted. Sorry to all the tofu fans out there.

"I would let the course of life take over," M&M replied to Maggie.

They glanced at me and I shrugged. There was no way I was going to end up in a situation like that so why bother pondering about it.

"I'd kill myself," Brandie muttered, eating her salad, "What would you do?"

"Oh, I'm half robot so they won't eat me," Maggie said. Here comes the awkward silence. I flicked a piece of lettuce at her.

"Did anyone you guys seen the new guy?" M&M asked.

"What new kid?" Brandie asked, looking up from her cell phone.

"Everyone knows the new kids are always ugly or from a crazy asylum." Maggie muttered.

M&M shook her head, "No, Sarah told me he was hot. Like up to Jade Bryans standards."

"I don't believe that!"

"What's his name?" I asked. Maybe this guy was my tutor.

"Jack something," M&M grinned.

Brandie stood up, "I'm going to the library, who wants to come along?"

I got up, "I need to get a book for APUSH," M&M and Maggie decided to stay behind.

Brandie and I arrived at the library and I saw Jade Bryans at the back deserted section. I glared at Brandie, "Why didn't you tell me I would be the third wheel?" I growled, lowly.

Brandie shrugged, "I wanted you to meet him," She ran off to Jade, jumping into his arms and kissing him. How disgustingly cute. That's when I saw a guy standing behind Jade. He was tall and had dark hair. He glanced in my direction and I did a dramatic gasp. You have to be freaking kidding me! It was the guy! The one from the mall! The one I thought I'd never see again. Dammit. I think I'm going to hyperventilate.

I walked up to them and Jade grinned beautifully at me. He had flawless caramel skin with intense green eyes. His gold hair swayed with a hint of brown in it. He was gorgeous. A Sex God.

"Hi,"

Jade shook my hand, "Hi, I'm Jade."

"I'm Tedi,"

Jade motioned him to come closer, "This is Jack Gold. He just transferred. I'm showing him around for today."

Jack smiled at me and Brandie, "Hi,"

"Hi!" Brandie said all cheerfully. Did she really not know who this guy was? My breath started to quicken and I swear I was losing oxygen in my head. I'm going to fall over and die. Tot umfallen. Yep, that's fall over and die in German. Jack glanced at me, keeping that somewhat interested look on his face but his eyes told a different story.

"Water!" I gasped out and ran out of the library. Gosh, I felt like SpongeBob Squarepants screaming out water like that. Hell, I didn't need water. I just needed to be as far as possible away from that guy!

An Hour Later

             I sat at my computer chair, on Facebook strolling down a list of 205 different Jack Gold. I clicked on one Jack Gold and a picture of an obese man in a man thong popped up. Add as a Friend? Hell naw. I officially give up. I closed my laptop and my room door busted open. Maggie was tangled up on her boyfriend who was biting her neck. What the hell, right? Well, this happens most nights. They collapsed on the bed. Whoa, free pornography. I left the room and went over to M&M's room, only to find it locked. I glanced at my clock. It's only eight. I sighed in frustration. What was I supposed to do now?

            "Find you!" Someone screamed behind me and I leapt to my feet. I flung my hands out, hitting someone.

            I opened my eyes and stared at a pissed off Jack.

            "What the hell is your problem?" he barked, looking seriously pissed off.

            "Uh... what are you doing in the girl's dorm?"

            Jack pressed his back against the wall, "Looking for you,"

            I felt heat on my face and I was hoping it wasn't turning red, "What do you want?"

            "Hm, let me think. I want a silver mustang and I want to go to the Caribbean's." He said with sarcasm. Ugh, he was one of those people.

            "I'm just going to go now," I muttered, walking down the hallway. He got up with me and stepped in front, blocking my way.

            "Listen, Tedi_"

            I squatted his face.

            He glared, "Can you stop doing that?!?"

            "My mother told me not to talk to strangers,"

            "But it's okay to kiss strangers than?" I raised an eyebrow and he leaned closer, "Yep, cherry, I remember. It was one hell of a kiss too,"

            "It was a dare!"

            He raised an eyebrow this time, "Are you sure? You seemed really into it and honestly I didn't mind kissing you back,"

            "Oh yea, well, it won't happen again,"

            "Really?" He trapped me against the wall and leaned his lips down to my ear. His hot breath seared my skin, "We're going to spending a lot of time together for the next couple of weeks. And as Miss Heather said, the next test you fail, you're out of here."
