25. It was an accident!

I walked on quickly but I bumped into Gil.
"Watch out!" I shouted angrily and wanted to continue walking but Gil looked at me in amazement, so unfortunately I stood still.
"What's bothering you?"
"I have to find Mal."
"She's in your bar. She hoped you would be there with Micheal."
"Thank you."
I ran off.

When Mal saw me, her face turned worried.
She walked over to me.
"Where is Micheal?"
"He's with Ben in the palace. It escalated very quickly and-"
"What exactly happened then?"
"Micheal and I told them that the whole royal thing didn't go through. Ben locked me up came a little later with Micheal on it and wanted to stab me with a dagger. Micheal was shocked and wanted to cooperate with Ben if only he would leave us alone. Uma was holding Micheal and then she told me that he will probably be stuck there for the next while."
"WHAT?!"
"Easy. I'll come up with something."
"Oh no. Now it's done!"
Angry, she marched to the palace and I quickly walked behind her.

A guard opened the door and Mal gave him a knee.
I looked at her stunned.
"ARE YOU WHERE ARE YOU?!" she shouted.
Her eyes were green so she would probably transform like that.
"BEN!?!"
I tried to calm her down but it didn't go so well.
"Mal. If you go to Ben like that, you'll kill him! Then Micheal immediately becomes king. Listen!"
She looked at me furiously.
"I will not kill him. Only hurt severely."
"Mal!"
"Best!"
She turned around.
"As long as you make sure you come home with Micheal."
I nodded (with a little fear) and Mal left.
I sighed. I had to fix it, again...
"Ben? Micheal?"
It was quiet. Way too quiet...

Quietly I walked towards Ben's office. They were probably there.
I opened the door and found a huge havoc, but no trace of Micheal or Ben.
I looked around briefly. Claw tracks. Ben was beast again. F*CK!
I ran back into the hallway.
"Micheal?!"
"Dad?"
"Micheal where are you!"
"Help me!"
He kept calling and I ran towards the sound.
Beast Ben was ready to attack Micheal.
"Oh I didn't think so!"
I grabbed Ben's arm/leg which he lashed out.
He looked at me furiously and growled.
"Micheal, get out of here!"
"But you?"
"NOW!"
He ran away and Ben pushed me away.
His brown eyes suddenly turned damn red.
"Ben, take it easy."
He lashed out at me and I was able to bend down just in time.
"Ben! I get it if you want to kill me but don't do it. I understand Micheal better than Mal. If you really want him to be like that, you have to have me to convince him. But you will never be able to force him!"
Ben stood still. Three meters away. And he looked at me very furiously.
"Ben?"
Then he came running towards me.
I jumped to the side, pushed Ben away from me and he fell over the railing of the stairs (about 10 meters down).
"Ben!"
I looked over the railing in shock.
"Oh f*ck..."
I stepped away from the railing.
What had I done?
I shook my head and ran away from Ben.
"Micheal? Where are you?"
"Dad!"
And he ran to me.
"Come, we have to get out of here."
"What about Ben?"
"Doesn't matter. Come."

The next day when we were sitting in front of the TV, an emergency broadcast was suddenly broadcast. Snow White's daughter looked at us sadly.
"Hi everyone, today I don't have so much nice news. Last night King Ben was found dead in the palace. The guards think it was murder given the circumstances. We are now looking for the Royal Heir that King Ben had chosen."
Then we saw footage of them walking to our house. Micheal looked at me furiously.
"You killed him?!" hissed Micheal.
"No!" I hissed.
"What?!" hissed Mal.
There was a knock on the door.
"Mal, leave with Micheal. Otherwise, he will immediately become King."
She nodded and took his hand.
When they left through the back door, I opened the front door.
"Can I help you?"
"Harry Hook, I am reporter Vanessa and daughter of Vanellope von Sweetzs."
"Congratulations." I said sarcastically.
"What do you think of the news that King Ben is dead?"
"Ehh... Pretty shocking." I lied.
"Your son, Micheal Hook, was told to be the royal heir who now becomes king. What's your thought on that?"
"Micheal wanted to stop Ben's lessons after a few weeks because he didn't want to and couldn't keep it up. But Ben forced Micheal to move on and so he has already injured me a few times because I helped Micheal because otherwise he would have killed my son and his own royal heir."
"That is also shocking Mr. Hook. But we are talking about your son now, but where is he?"
"After the news on TV, he ran away and Mal went after him. Mal probably had to calm him down again and I would like you to leave us alone for a while and that we can arrange everything ourselves with Belle and Beast."
"I-"
"Thank you very much!"
And I slammed the door shut. The TV was still on and vanellope's daughter was still at our front door.
"As you can see, Ben also has dark secrets. Could the murder have been suicide? And what is Micheal Hook so afraid of? I'm Vanessa from Sweetzs and this was the report. Back to you Snowflake."
And that little girl came back into the picture.
"Wow Vanessa, that's shocking indeed. Thanks for watching everyone and we'll keep you posted."
The screen fell out and I sighed.
"Dammit!"

A little later I walked out.
"Harry? What did you do?" asked a frightened voice.
I turned around and saw Mal.
"Mal-"
"Did you really kill Ben?"
Micheal stood next to her and looked at me furiously.
"I didn't kill him!" I said angrily.
"You're lying! Because of you, I am now going to be king!" shouted Micheal furiously.
"Micheal, I didn't kill him."
"Stay away from me. IT'S YOUR FAULT!"
Mal pulled Micheal behind her.
"Mal... You don't think...?"
"What exactly happened Harry?"
I looked away.
"It was an accident..." I muttered.
Mal shook her head incredulously.
"You killed him?!" she said softly and in amazement.
"No! I didn't want-"
"You just killed him!"
"No! He wanted to attack me ran towards me, I gave him a nudge when I stepped aside-"
"-And then he fell over the railing! You just coldly killed him!"
Micheal looked at me furiously.
"Becoming through you the king as soon as possible. It's your fault!"
"Micheal-"
"You ruined everything! THANKS TO YOU, I HAVE TO NOW!"
"Micheal listens to me, it was an accident."
Mal looked at me.
"Belle needs to know what happened. Ben was her everything."
"Mal, tell me first. Do you believe me?"
"Yes of course! What do you think?"
"I don't know anything for sure after yesterday!"
Micheal looked at me.
"Do you promise it's the truth?"
"Yes, Micheal. Really."
Mal sighed.
"I'm going to tell Belle. She needs to know."
"But-"
"If something had happened to Micheal, you would have liked to know the truth!" she snapped.
