You woke up in Rex's arms. He was still asleep. You needed to relieve yourself so you started to get off the bed slowly. Once you did, you headed to the bathroom. You washed your face once you were done since you felt it was a little dry. You made your way back on the bed and hugged Rex again.

You pressed your face against his chest when suddenly his hand began to pet your hair.

-"Hey, cyar'ika" He mumbled with his eyes still closed.

-"Hey, love" You answered back.

-"How'd you sleep"

You chuckled at this.

-"It's only been two hours since we laid down, Rex"

He opened his eyes.

-"Two hour's a record for me"

You frowned at him.

-"Are you kidding me? Rex, you need to sleep more" He smiled looking at you softly.

-"Maybe I'll find more excuses to sleep, as long as it's with you"

You looked at him lovingly.

-"So you want to be with me?"

He frowned a little.

-"Why are you asking?"

You moved your shoulders a bit.

-"Well, you know this is not going to be easy, Rex. We will have to pretend we're nothing more than war partners in front of everyone. We will only have times like this secretly"

He looked at the ceiling before speaking.

-"I know. But I think it's worth the risk"

You smiled at him.

-"You do?"

He gently rubbed your cheek.

-"I love you, Y/n"

-"You love me?"

He smiled at your question.

-"Like crazy"

You smiled widely.

-"I love you too"

You leaned to give him a soft kiss on the lips. With that you closed your eyes again as you gave yourself to the sleep.

You heard a noise before opening your eyes. You saw Rex was putting his armor on. Last night he slept wearing only his blacks.

-"Rex?"

He looked at you softly.

-"Sorry love. I didn't mean to wake you"

You smiled at him.

-"So you were gonna leave without telling me?"

-"No, I'm sorry but you were sleeping so peacefully I couldn't wake you"

You laughed a little.

-"I'm joking, Rex" You got up and hugged him from behind.

-"Time to get to work, hm?"

He laughed a little.

-"It is" He turned around to face you, he kissed your forehead.

-"I'll go first so they won't suspect anything. I'll let you get ready"

-"Fine. I'll see you later" You smiled.

He grabbed his helmet and placed it on his head as he left the room.
