Recap - aalim heard gulnaaz saying words like "chai" ,"Padosi" (Basically which they use a lot in the code language of RAW) on a call at 7 in the morning.
Aalim's pov
What's going on, firstly she's talking to someone at 7 am and that too with such oddly familiar words.
"naaz" I interrupted
She saw me, gave an awkward smile
Gk - to aapse baad me baat karti hu bhabhijaan, shauhar sahab uth gaye hain.
We both chuckled.
She hung the call and came towards me.
Gk - aap itni jaldi kaise uth gaye janab??
"Jaldi 😂, mai to 5 baje uthta hu naaz"
Gk - to Mai bhi to taana hi maar rahi hu
(She laughed awkwardly)
"Acha acha, meri chhodiye, aap itni jaldi kaise uth gai, aur ye kisse baat kar rahi thi? Itni subah subah? "
Gk - are mera ek cousin bhai hai, USA me rehta hai, vahin se bhabhijaan ka phone aaya tha, hamare yahan subah ke 7 baje hain par vahan pe to raat ke 10 baje hain abhi, vo time zone bhool hi gaye or itni jaldi call kar liya.
"Acha,lekin aap log vo kaunsi baat kar rahe the, chai? Padosi? Hamare padosi se to ham mile hi nai hain? "
Gk - uhm.. Vo unke neighbours ke baare me baat kar rahi thi, and keh rahi thi ki unko chai par ghar bulaya hai.
"Oh acha.. Aur koi khaas baat? "
Gk - nai nai, baaki sab theek.
She said this and then went to the other room.
I don't know how to say this, I'm not doubting her or anything but I've been working as an agent for a plenty of time and according to my experience, her body language doesn't fit right to me, why does it feel like something is wrong.. Or maybe I'm just overthinking..
Aalim's pov ends.
Gulnaaz's pov -
It's 6:30 in the morning and me and aalim were sleeping, normally aalim wakes up very early but he must be exhausted from yesterday's emotional outburst. I get it. Suddenly my phone rung loudly and I woke up and quickly turned the volume down so that aalim doesn't wake up, I saw that tej sir was calling, what.. He normally messages first and then calls.. Must be something serious.
I got up and went to the guest room, it's quite far form our room, I went there so that aalim doesn't hear me.
I answered the call.
"Nam--, uhh, salam walekum"
I'm still very sleepy, so I'm not in a proper state of mind right now.
Tej sir - "Walekum assalam sahiba, aaj chai ke saath tayyar ho jaiye, aaj chai peena bohot zaruri hai"
(This convo is very important, be ready)
"Ji, mere paas hai chai"
(I'm ready)
Tej sir - "apna jo lahore ka dost tha na??"
"Kaun dost?"
Tej sir - " Are vo hi jo RAJESH khanna ki tarah SING karta HAI, aur asal mai bhi uske parents ko uspe shaan, SHAUKAT UL HAQ, I mean SHAUKAT aur haq hai???? jo DU gaya tha better studies ke liye,professor banne ko"
(Rajesh singhai, whose real name is shaukat ul haq, who's in Delhi University as a professor)
"Haan haan, par uska kya hua? Usne to kabka drop le liya na, in fact tune hi to drop dilaya tha use us shaam ko? "
(Yes but hasn't his case been dropped, in fact you were the one who caught him that evening)
Tej sir - "drop dilaya tha par usne dusra college join kar liya, jo delhi me nahi hai aur na hi koi bade sheher me hai, ab vo kahan par hai, hame nai pata"
(Yes I caught him that day but now we've lost him and can't find him, we've searched the whole delhi and he certainly isn't here)
I panicked majorly hearing this.
All my sleepiness went away hearing this.
"Acha... Lekin kamse kam vo apni nazakat aur ADAein to yahan chhodke gaya na, use vo aakhir mil nai pai.. (Fake laughed) haina.."
(Atleast he hasn't met ada yet right?)
Tej sir - "gulnaaz vo.."
Mind you, tej sir never ever gets confused on what to say, he's taken a pause in this conversation that means there's a very bad news waiting for me.
Tej sir - "vo jab ye mujhe pata chala to meri to nazakat aur ADA KUCH DER KE LIYE GAYAB HO GAI THI, fir baad me mil gai..
(we lost ada for some time but then found her)
" Matlab... "
Tej sir - "matlab shayad kuch samay ke liye vo mil gai ho jaane se pehle use"
(That means that maybe shaukat met ada before leaving)
I was panick stricken, I didn't know what to think anymore, I was lost for words, this is not good..
"Aap aisa kaise hone de sakte hain, chai khatam nai hui meri lekin shayad padosi wala kabhi bhi jaag sakta--"
(How did you let this happen, I've got a lot to say but someone might come soon"
As soon as I said this I heard aalim call my name, I cut the call and gave him a very stupid reason of attending a call at 7 in the morning. I'm already extremely scared on what's going to happen now, and i feel I can't face eye to eye with aalim so I quickly went from there to another room.
I don't think anyone can realise how big of a threat I'm in, by any chance if shaukat is able to contact with Pakistan, and if he has met with ada, he would know that someone with an important post from ISI analysis team has been leaking information..
Tej sir used to give false news to ada to give to pak on the basis of the news from ISI analysis sector. So she would clearly know that an important ISI analyst can only know such deep information about the news. If she would've met shaukat, she would've 100% told him about this. And another thing to worry about is I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS SO MUCH ABOUT ISI ANALYSIS in our whole team. If this info comes to pak, I'm done for good. All the suspicion will be on me.
I need to go to the office RIGHT NOW.
