Chapter 23

Recap - Nasir is going to visit gulnaaz in the hospital.

Gulnaaz is much better now, all the wounds are definitely painful but isn't bothering her much, she hasn't talked to aalim yet.

She's awake and is sitting on the hospital bed.

Gulnaaz's pov

I'm feeling much better now, physically as well as mentally.
I'm genuinely proud of myself today, even after that level of torture, I did not spill a word.
But I for a fact know that Nasir wouldn't stop here, he would definitely put me through something else that's why for some time i think I need to completely forget my real identity for some time and from now I've to start believing that I'm innocent and I'm in no contact with India.

Well, where is aalim, the last time he was talking to me i fainted, I just want him to know that--

As I was thinking this, I heard a knock on the door. It was Nasir, he had a bouquet in his hand, I can sense that he has a trick up his sleeve. Ok gau-.. Gulnaaz mode on now.

Nk - hmm, ye lijiye aapke liye (puts the bouquet on the side table)

There was a very awkward silence between them.

Nk - dekhiye, abhi bhi waqt hai, aap confess kar sakti hain..

He opens his phone and shows gulnaaz a video of aalim.

In the video, he's tied to a chair, with his mouth covered with a strip of duct tape.
Someone scratches the tape out of his mouth and he screams as along with the tape some facial hair of his came out.
As soon as the tape gets removed he says with heavy breath -"naaz please naaz, confess kar dijiye naaz, ye log mujhe bohot taqleef de rahe hain yahan, aur dhamka bhi rahe hain ki agar aapne confession nahi diya to mujhe maar daalenge.. Please naaz jo bhi sach hai bol dijiy---" As he was about to continue somebody once again wrapped his face up with a cloth.

Naaz instantly stood up from the bed, even though she was in a tragic pain.

Naaz - sir ye aap theek nahi kar rahe hain sir, aapko mujhse dushmani ya problem hai to mujhse kahiye na, aalim ko beech mai kyu ka rahe hain aap.. Please sir unhe chhod dijiye.
(She had joined her hands to say this and her was shivering)

Naaz (sobbing) (falls on knees as she was shivering way too much) - sir kya kahu mai sir, kya confess karu?
