Silent Battle

In a world that's constantly moving,
She feels like she's stuck in place,
Anxiety gripping her chest,
Making it hard to even take a breath.

She watches as others go about their day,
Wondering why it's so easy for them,
While for her, even the simplest tasks,
Are a constant source of dread and fear.

Her mind is always racing,
Thoughts spiraling out of control,
Worrying about things that haven't happened yet,
And may never come to pass.

The weight of the world is on her shoulders,
But no one else seems to notice,
As she puts on a brave face,
And tries to carry on with her day.

But inside, she's screaming,
Desperate for someone to understand,
To see the pain and turmoil she's feeling,
And offer a helping hand.

It's a battle she fights every day,
A war that never seems to end,
And though she tries to keep it hidden,
It's always there, lurking in the background.

She's tired of pretending,
Of putting on a brave face,
When all she wants to do is curl up,
And make the anxiety go away.

But she knows she can't give up,
Can't let the anxiety win,
So she takes a deep breath,
And keeps moving forward, one step at a time.

It's a lonely road she's traveling,
But she's not alone in her struggle,
For there are others out there just like her,
Living with anxiety every day.

And though it may not be easy,
She knows she can get through this,
With strength, determination, and love,
She'll find a way to overcome.

So to anyone else out there,
Living with anxiety like her,
Know that you're not alone,
And that there is hope for a brighter tomorrow.
