In a world where love's cruel decree,

A girl, her heart, bound by secrecy.

Her friend, a beacon in her night,

Unaware of her love, hidden from sight.

He had another in his heart's embrace,

While she yearned for his warm embrace.

A love unspoken, a silent vow,

Yet circumstances held her captive, somehow.

She watched him, day by day,

As he walked a different way.

Her love ached, a silent cry,

As distance grew, and tears ran dry.

Their friendship strong, remained intact,

But love's fire within her heart was an act.

She smiled when he laughed, held back her sighs,

As he, in his world, never saw her eyes.

The saddest love, a bittersweet song,

A love that was right, but the timing wrong.

She loved him deeply, with all her might,

But fate had chosen a different flight.

She hoped one day, circumstances might change,

For love's mysterious ways, never cease to estrange.

Till then, she loved from afar, her heart's lone ember,

The girl who loved her friend, and would always remember.
