Anxiety is a beast that's hard to slay,
An ever-present foe that won't give way,
It creeps upon you in the dead of night,
And fills your mind with worry and fright.

It feasts on all the doubts that you have known,
It gnaws upon the bones of every fear that's grown,
It swallows up the peace within your soul,
And leaves you feeling lost and out of control.

It whispers to you in a voice so sly,
And tells you that your dreams will never fly,
It whispers that you'll never be enough,
And feeds upon the strength that you've stored up.

It chokes your breath and makes your heart race fast,
And leaves you in a state that cannot last,
It paints a picture of a world of pain,
And tells you that you'll never be the same.

It wraps around you like a heavy chain,
And makes you feel like you're alone in pain,
It takes your happiness and turns it sour,
And drowns your hopes beneath its darkened power.

But know that you can fight this beast inside,
And brave your way through every panic tide,
You hold the strength to banish it away,
And stop it from controlling every day.

You must rise up and take back what's yours,
And fight with all your might like never before,
You have the power to break the chains of fear,
And let your soul fly free, so that it may soar.

So do not give up, dear friend, hold on tight,
And let your heart burn with a fearless light,
Do not let Anxiety take you down,
You are stronger than this foe that's all around.
