Those starry-eyed dreams,
filled with such idealism,
only now do I realize,
how naïve they were.
Those starry-eyed dreams,
filled with such innocence,
only now do I see,
how unrealistic they were.
I let that idealism take over,
let that innocence define me,
only to lose it all in the end,
and to be so disillusioned.
Those starry-eyed dreams,
they never did come true,
they never will come true.
