Chapter7 : we have good news for you.

  
    *10 years later*

Life without mum has been one hell of a journey. It was like my life took a U turn, every single damn thing changed. Well aunt Maya took care of me for about two years after mum died, she had to leave after she finally  got married, to be sincere I was very happy for here but also sad that she had to leave. My dad was not available most of the time, he changed drastically towards me the reasons not ment to be said probably because i don't know but aunt Maya told me to have hope, my hopes died down when he married again after aunt Maya left.

The reason,
He told aunt Maya some thing like I needed a motherly figure in my life or something like that

So my step mother who was ment to be a motherly figure in my life turned out to be my worst nightmare, every new week bring trouble home for me, there were times I won't  eat for days even worst for a week because of a simple mistake. I even had to take a part time job as a cashier at a small mall to take care of my needs  because surprisingly my dad forgot my existence. I lost contact with aunt Maya when Jasmine angrily broke my  phone. Aunt Maya now has a beautiful family, a lovely husband and a 7 years old daughter, Reah. She is a very cute girl her presence alone can bring a smile to your face. They use to come and visit at times before they travelled out of the country but aunt maya still sends me gift. I used part of the money I am saving to get a new phone for myself but I lost her contact

But atlest she was there when I needed her most.

There were times when I  wondered why I haven't fallen Into depression ag-

I was brought out of my thought when one angry customer slams the good they bought on the table

Like SERIOUSLY if you are angry go home or you and stand  in front of a bulldozer

Then i remember I had to get home early today I left my work place early  after taken permission because Jasmine told me to come early saying they had something to tell me and by they I mean she and my father. I don't  really talk to my father since mum died he just change drastically towards me for no reason or for a reason I don't know about. And that shit hurts as hell.

He knows about everything they his wife side to me and he does nothing about it. Like SERIOUSLY NOTHING

"What a motherly figure" I chuckled at my sarcasm berore I realise I was still walking by the road and people are starting at me as if I was mad, of course when was I not going to run mad If I continue living in that house.

I got home as quickly as I can but to my surprise I met Jasmine and my father at the dining table. Something's off, I gave them a very weird look

"Mira dear" Jasmine said and just like they i knew some thing weird is coming my way.
"Why were you late I told you to come early anyways go freshen up and join us for dinner. "

"Why?" I didn't mean to sound rude but that was how it came out

"What did you mean why can't you have dinner with us again."

As if. I rolled my eye

"Well your dad and I have some thing very Important to tell you. Now go and come back quick " wow I must say people has been giving me surprise but no one is like this only if I had knew a bigger one is coming well anyways this is the longest sentence Jasmine has ever said politely to me, this calls for celebration

After taken my shower I went down stairs and took a sit far away from the both of them, you know just in case

I didn't eat the food cause it was probably cooked by Jasmine, cause dad wouldn't eat food prepared by the maids it was either me and rarely Jasmine but now that she cooked, some things off and just to protect myself in case it's poisoned I just played with the food

After about five minute and non of them are saying anything I decided to break the silence. I cleared my throat

"So what was the Important thing you wanted to talk about" I asked bluntly,it is not like I am rude or anything it is just that when I don't like you i don't like you, and I don't like Jasmine, when I tried been nice to her she never appreciated it so what the use

Jasmine was the first person to talk "so as you know you are already 21 and you father and I got this amazing deal and some how it can benefit you and I thought what harm will it do." While my dad was just busy with his food as if his life depended on it he didn't even look up

"And your point is." I am really getting bored

"And the point is that we have good news for you."

"Which is"

"Will you just let me land."
I just kept mute waiting for her to continue dear Lord if they are planning on bury me alive at least let me get my last paycheck.

"And the good news isssssssss"like seriously

"You are getting  married in two days time"
