I'm taking a break from my other story for right now because I'm incredibly bored with it. So until I have an inspiration for it, I'm totally focused on this one, which means...FASTER UPLOADS!!! I decided to just use Zero Gravity because it's such a sweet and romantic song. She Will Be Loved is, too, well, lyrics wise yes but the video is sad. I mean really? He goes with his girlfriend's mom?! That's just messed up! I'm not gonna use it though because I want to use it for this other story idea that I have in my head. Okay, I think I should shut up now and let you read. :)

Chapter Nine- Suspension

"I am extremely disappointed in you two girls. Especially you, Ms. Jade Harrison. Emily, I could've expected it from but you, Jade, are a good girl." The principal, Mr. Grums, told me in a disappointed yet stern voice.

How did he even know it was us who started it?

I was about to ask him when Emily beat me to it, "How do you even know it was us? It could've been anyone!"

"We have inside sources, Ms. Trench." Mr. Grums said smugly.

Wow, I thought it was always the students against the staff, but a little bribery and there is no loyalty anymore! And they always tell us that bribing isn't a good thing; I think the teachers should follow their own advice.

"Getting to the point, I want to know which one of you started it." He looked at us through narrowed slits. "I'm sure it was you, Ms. Trench."

"It wasn't! Jade c-came up to me a-a-and she s-spi-illed chocolate m-milk-k all OVER me!" She fake sobbed, trying to look as hopeless and innocent as possible. Her eyes were wide with fake fear and they held tears that wouldn't come out. She stuck her lip out in a pout and it quivered slightly.

The principal turned his glare to me and his eyes conveyed suspicion, but there was a small glimmer of doubt as well.

I sighed, "She's right. I did start it."

It had to end sometime, Emily bugging me, I mean. And I knew, no matter how much I would regret it, this was the only way for us to call it clean and not have her bug me. Plus, I had gotten even with her for spilling spaghetti all over me at the dinner.

I heard Emily gasp but quickly cover it up with another sob. Mr. Grums closed his eyes and shook his head side to side. He put his elbows on the table and peeked up at the ceiling through his closed fingers. "How many times do I have to tell you kids the rules?!" His voice raised as the rhetorical question got closer to the end. He sighed and continued, "Since it's your first offense, Ms. Jade, you are suspended from school for only two days starting from tomorrow, and as for you, Ms. Emily, you have four days of detention."

Suspension?! I've never been suspended before. Well, there's always a first for everything.

"What?! Four days of detention?!" Emily shrieked beside me.

"We can always make it four weeks." Mr. Grums smiled a sinister smile.

When Emily said nothing, Mr. Grums announced, "I take it we're done here," before getting up and walking out.

I got up, too, and walked out. I just came out the door when a bony hand grabbed my elbow and yanked me, making me turn around.

"Why did you do it?" She asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Do what?" I played stupid even though I knew what she was talking about.

"You know what." She said in an irritated voice, tapping her high-heeled foot, and making an obnoxious sound.
