The early morning sun began to filter through the curtains, casting a warm glow into the room. It was a new day, and the world outside was stirring with life. In the quiet room, Manik lay sound asleep beside Nandini, their connection from the night before lingering in the air.

As the clock ticked, a knock on the door broke the silence. Manik, still half in the realm of dreams, groaned irritably. He couldn't fathom who would disturb his sleep so early in the morning. Disoriented, he slowly opened his eyes, only to be met with the realization that he wasn't alone.

Next to him lay Nandini, her features soft in sleep. The events of the previous day rushed back to him, and he couldn't help but glance at her, bewildered by the unusual circumstances they found themselves in.

The knocking on the door grew more insistent, and it became clear that he needed to answer it. Rubbing his eyes, Manik carefully slid out of bed, trying not to wake Nandini. He made his way to the door and, upon opening it, was greeted by the amused faces of his family members.

"Good morning, Manik," his cousin chirped with a mischievous grin. "Did you sleep well in there, or were you too busy enjoying the room?"

Manik's irritation only grew as he was greeted by teasing remarks from his cousins and siblings.

His younger sister, Ayesha, chimed in, "Manik, you never told us you were so enthusiastic about early mornings."

The others joined in the laughter, and it was clear they were enjoying the situation. Manik couldn't help but roll his eyes at their teasing. He realized that his family had an uncanny ability to make every situation light-hearted, no matter how awkward.

"Alright, alright, enough of your teasing" he grumbled. "What's so important that you all decided to invade our privacy this early?"

His elder cousin, Rohan, playfully patted Manik on the back. "Well, we just thought you might want to join us for breakfast downstairs. You know, in the land of the living."

Manik sighed in resignation, knowing that there was no escaping his well-meaning but rather nosy family. "Fine, I'll be down in a bit."

As they all dispersed, he closed the door and turned back to the room. His gaze naturally fell upon Nandini, who was still sleeping peacefully. The events of the morning had brought back a dose of reality, but he couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead as they navigated this unusual journey of marriage.

With a small smile, Manik approached the bed, gently waking Nandini.

Nandini stirred in her sleep as Manik returned to the room. She was briefly disoriented, her eyes fluttering open to the unfamiliar surroundings. It didn't take long for her to remember the events of the previous day, and her surprise was palpable. She glanced around the room, taking in the lavish decor.

"Good morning," Manik said with a warm smile, sensing her confusion. "We have breakfast downstairs. My family can be quite persistent, as you've already seen."

Nandini's eyes widened slightly as she realized the implications of what he said. She was now part of this family, and their traditions and routines would become hers as well. The reality of her new life was beginning to set in.

Manik continued, "I'll take a bath after you. It's right through that door," he pointed to the bathroom. "Take your time."

Nandini nodded in acknowledgment, her thoughts swirling. She knew that this was just the beginning of her life as Manik's wife, and she couldn't help but feel a mixture of apprehension and curiosity. As she watched Manik leave the room, she took a deep breath and prepared herself for the day ahead.

Manik then hesitated a bit, and then looked at Nandini, with a softer tone, he said, "I know this is all new to you, Nandini. But don't worry; we'll figure it out together. If you have any questions or need help with anything, just let me know."

Nandini met his gaze, and for a brief moment, their eyes locked, sharing an unspoken understanding. Then she gave a small nod, appreciating his reassuring words. With a newfound sense of determination, she knew that she was ready to embrace the challenges that lay ahead in her new life as Manik's wife.

As Manik sat in his room, waiting for Nandini to finish her bath, his thoughts lingered on her. He couldn't help but think, "I don't know why, but being around her... she gives me the urge to be good." It was a realization he couldn't quite explain, but a feeling that had stirred within him ever since their unusual union had begun.

For a man who had never been known for his patience, he pondered over this newfound change in himself. It was as if Nandini had the power to awaken a different side of him, one that had been dormant until now.

Nandini stepped into the bath for a refreshing shower. As the water cascaded down, she let her thoughts wander, pondering the unique customs and the complex deception that had brought her to this point. The sound of the running water acted as a soothing backdrop to her contemplation.

After her bath, she returned to their shared room to get dressed. She noticed Manik waiting for his turn, and with a hint of politeness in her voice, she said, "It's your turn now."

Manik nodded and made his way to the bathroom, leaving Nandini to begin preparing for the day. She carefully selected a traditional outfit and started changing, all the while grappling with the surreal nature of her current situation.

Manik completed his bath and returned to the room, a towel in hand. His gaze naturally fell on Nandini, who was now fully dressed, and he couldn't help but pause. Something about her presence was captivating. When their eyes met, he quickly looked away, feeling a sense of embarrassment for having stared.

He cleared his throat and managed to say, "Give me five minutes, and then we can head down together." The room was filled with unspoken tension, an awareness of their unique connection that had yet to fully unfold.

As they both made their preparations, little did they know that the morning held more surprises than they could ever anticipate. The tranquil moments in their room would soon give way to a whirlwind of chaos as they descended to join their family for breakfast. Their unusual journey was about to take an even more unexpected turn.
