The room in the Malhotra house was heavy with tension as they awaited Mr. Rajesh and his wife's arrival. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation, and the unease was intense. When Mr. Rajesh and his wife entered, they did so with an air of indifference, which only added to the strained atmosphere.

Vikram, Manik's father, decided to take the lead and questioned Mr. Rajesh with a stern tone, "Mr. Rajesh, we need to understand what's going on. Why did you make this happen?" The tension in the room seemed to intensify as all eyes were on Mr. Rajesh.

However, instead of taking responsibility, Mr. Rajesh began to shift the blame onto Nandini. He defended his actions with a tone of self-righteousness, "You see, it's Nandini's fault. She should have been responsible for Ayesha. Her carelessness led to this situation. To protect our family's honor, I had no choice but to go through with this wedding."

Manik, a mix of empathy and firmness in his voice, couldn't help but interject. "Mr. Rajesh, your actions have put Nandini in an incredibly challenging position. We must find a solution that avoids causing further harm."

Nandini's mother, Mrs. Shalini, couldn't help but defend her husband. She retorted, "Rajesh is right; it's not his fault. Nandini should have looked after her sister. She is equally responsible for what has happened."

Maya, Manik's mother, stepped in with a more level-headed approach, "Blaming Nandini won't help us now. We need to figure out what to do next, given the situation we find ourselves in."

Mr. Rajesh then suggested a divorce in a few months to avoid media scrutiny and, in the process, insinuated that Nandini was unfit for their family. He even went so far as to allude to Nandini being unlucky, given her mother's early demise when she was a child.

Manik's grandmother, who had been silent until now, couldn't stand to see what was happening and decided to speak. With a mix of anger and compassion, she declared, "The marriage has already taken place. Nandini is our daughter now, and we will welcome her with open hearts. We will face this together as a family. You need not worry about anything." Her tone was resolute and protective of Nandini.

The family sensed Nandini's fragility as she stood there, and they shared an unspoken agreement to protect her. However, Mr. Rajesh remained unconvinced and continued to insult his own daughter.

Vikram, Manik's father, growing increasingly frustrated with the fruitless conversation, finally intervened, "I believe it's best if you leave now, Mr. Rajesh. Our discussion hasn't yielded any solutions, and we'll need time to figure this out."

The confrontation reached an impasse, and the room still buzzed with tension. Battle lines had been drawn; the Malhotra family was determined to protect Nandini, while Mr. Rajesh remained steadfast in defending his actions and hurling insults.
