Note Thirty
Dear BS,
I have this friend who really likes me more than a friend and I don't share the same feelings. He asked me out a couple days ago and to conserve our deep friendship, I rejected it. Now he's mad at me and all of my friends are saying I made the wrong choice. Did I? And what should I do now?
~Totally Confused
Dear Totally Confused,
One sided love sucks but to be honest, it's better to be heartbroken than to be in love with a person who doesn't love you back. You made the right decision. It would have been awkward for you and eventually for him, and such a fake relationship would have hurt your friendship either way. I'm afraid that your situation was lose-lose because he's still hurt and you're conflicted but let him cool down for a couple of days, maybe move on, and I think you'll be able to patch up your friendship.
