A PART OF ME WISHES I LEFT WITH HER. The other part knows what I believe in. And as someone who was trapped for years, oppressed by selfish men, numbers are a waste of time. There were dozens of girls with me. Before and during and possibly after since they're still out there.

And none of us made it out. Except me. And that was when those men left me first.

If Lope wants to go out and get numbers - fine. She can do that. If it puts her mind at ease. Instead, I want to do what I think will happen. I want to fight. Head on. By myself, or not. I want to see oppressors suffer. If EVA beats us - I don't care. So long as I was able to make them suffer beforehand. Leave a scar. One that burns. Stings. One that has their luxury after my demise forever tainted by what I did to them before it.

For the first time: Harley and I seem to agree.

"Don't get me wrong, I like Anais," She's saying, pacing back on forth in front of Vee, Rikki, and I, "I just...know her. And she's literally batshit insane."

"From what I've seen..." I tilt my head, "Yeah. Yeah, she is."

It's not something I've ever vocalised. Because who am I to say in front of my girlfriend 'your mother needs therapy' although I guess since she left us all here, I have free reign over her therapy needing batshit insane mother.

"Didn't she shoot Blake?" Vee raises a brow.

"Almost." I correct.

"Before any of you guys came she wanted to use Sylvie's abilities to bomb surrounding areas to make sure there were no zombies." Harley tells us, "She didn't care if there were people in there too."

"Wait, what?" I blink.

"Yeah...Lope always called her a 'Doomsday Prepper' but it's worse than that if you ask me." Harley reaches up to casually play with a strand of her blonde hair, almost like this is just...you know, not us talking about pure villain shit.

"We literally had a cage we put people in who didn't respect us - but even I can say that's too far." Vee frowns.

"Right?" Harley drops her strand of hair, "The worst part is it was supposed to be a council. Four people. And yet Anais was always the one making decisions...although in the end Lope and Rikki managed to convince her not to bomb the area."

"At least that means maybe Lope has a chance of getting through to her now?" Vee points out, although she's very obviously questioning herself.

"Lope and Rikki didn't convince Anais because through empathy," Harley lets out a laugh, "They convinced her by saying imagine all the resources you'll be exploding in the process."

I turn to Rikki, and articulate my words as clear as possible since my sign language isn't that good, "Is that true?"

He nods although hesitantly before signing to Harley - the only one out of us four that knows it well enough to translate since she's been friends with him and Lope for so long.
