DR. RASHID

Annabeth's POV

I practically flip my room over looking for my monster proof phone, courtesy of Mr. Leo Valdez. It's been ringing for 5 minutes straight. I finally found it under the bed and picked it up. The conversation went a little bit like this:

Hello?

Hello, yes finally. Annabeth!

Sally? What's wrong?

It's Percy, he got in an awful car accident. I just thought it was best to let you know dear.

I'm on my way, text me the address please.

I threw my pencil and books on the couch and run outside to my car. I type in the address on the GPS and start driving.

He could be dying right now, drive faster idiot, I thought. I drove so fast that I was above the speed limit. It was fast enough to get to the hospital in five minutes though.

I burst through the doors and went up to the receptionist. "Percy Jackson, miss," I say nervously.

"He's still in the ER sweetie, you can take a seat in the waiting room if you like," she said sweetly motioning to the direction of the waiting room. I nodded and walked over anxiously.

Once I got there, I saw Sally sitting down tapping her foot on the ground. "Oh Annabeth! Thank the gods you're here," she rushed over to me hugging me tight.

"Sally! What happened to Percy?!" I exclaimed after pulling away from the hug. She lead me to a seat and collected herself.

"He was on his way home from school, he took his car today, the one his father gave him. It was pouring rain and it's hard to see while driving. Witnesses said that an out-of-control car spun head on to Percy's. Police concluded that it was a drunk driver, doctors had also concluded that he was gonna live. I'm still waiting to figure out what his injuries are," she explained. Now I understood why she wasn't crying, though I could tell she was really nervous. Well, I am too, of course. My boyfriend's in the emergency room, for all I know he could have half a heart (1d fans;)) when he comes out of that room.

"Jackson?" we heard the nurse call out. That was our cue to go up to her. And so we did, she nodded at us and led us to a room. Inside the room was Percy and a doctor. The nurse came inside with us and stood beside the doctor.

The doctor took out a clipboard and introduced herself to us. "Hello, I'm Dr. Rashid. I understand that you're the family of Percy Jackson?" she asked.

"Yes, I'm his mother and this is his girlfriend, Annabeth," Sally introduced. They shook hands and we shook hands. We walked over to Percy, who was currently asleep and I took a seat beside him when Sally refused to take it.

"Percy here has had a couple of injuries but nothing too bad. A sprained ankle, fractured wrist, and a few stitches. Three on his foot and two right above his eyebrow," she had explained to me and Sally. We said our thank you's and she left the room saying to call her when Seaweed Brain woke up.

Percy's eyes slowly opened as he rubbed the tiredness out of them. "You scared the living Hades out of us, you idiot!" I lightly smacked his arm. Instead of apologizing, he pulled me into a hug once he sat up. I was forced to sit on the hospital bed and I just rested my head on his chest. His strong arms wrapped around my body as he rested his chin lightly on my head.

"Glad to see you care, Wise Girl," he laughed lightly and we stayed like that for a long while.

Dr Rashid's POV

Sally Jackson told me that her son had just woken up. He was just in a car crash a couple hours ago and I had to give him a check up before he could leave the hospital.

I quietly open the door and walk in to see Sally on the chair by a table on one side of the room. On the other side was the hospital bed where Percy was supposed to be. I gave Sally a smile and she returned it but went right back to writing some things on a piece of paper.

I take a few more steps in the room and finally see my patient... hugging his girlfriend- I 'm assuming- for dear life. Ah, young love, so beautiful.

Well, to be honest, some of them are just plain atrocious. The man having 15 girls, the woman wearing shorts showing half her butt. Disgusting.

This specific couple though, they seem different. Judging by their actions, they don't seem to want to let go. Neither of them look like they were to leave the other. This seems like the type of couple you'll see in the movies, you know like Titanic or something?

I really didn't want to end this moment, but if I didn't, we'd be here for hours. "I'm sorry for doing this, but I have to check up on Mr. Jackson," I apologized. I could tell the girl trying to pull away but Jackson not wanting to let go.

"Seaweed Brain, the doctor needs to give you a check up!" she said when he started whining. I had to admit that they were a really adorable couple.

Once Percy finished his checkup, he was on a wheelchair and he didn't like it. Annabeth, I think that's hat Sally called her, kept on taking pictures of pouty Percy and it was hilarious to watch.

Once they were on their way out, they said their thank you's and I could've sworn I heard Percy mutter something about being healed by water and Annabeth just laughed. This is one unique pair, but I'm glad their together.
